    For a little context …

The SCW echo chamber are all upset … about the pro-Palestine rallies … on liberal college campus … sending the wrong message to American enemies … about how weak and stupid Americans are.

This is all a bunch of nonsense. I fully expect the SCWs to lead with this as an election issue … like BLM, Defund the Police, CRT, etc.

And to no one’s surprise, the conservatives here are clutching pearls, wondering how these weak stupid college voters will lose the elections for the Ds.

one of the most ideologically incoherent posts I've read.

    clarifying, in its own way.

There aren't enough people basing there vote on this issue to decide the election

The parties might be incoherent, but nothing in my post was inaccurate regarding the two political parties.

I think a better question is why do Republican voters continue to support a twice impeached convicted criminal with multiple felony indictments pending?

Since when do college students vote in large enough numbers to offset all other demographics?

Militantly pro-Palestine college students are a big "this is my first semester away from home and I just learned about Oxfam" crowd and they're not as large as curated outrage p*rn videos on X would have you believe.

They remain dem voters because of people that are trying to paint Democrats as anti-Israeli. It's a self-defeating strategy.

Those that follow the issues know the candidate is staunchly pro-Israel. The party of his opponent paints Democrats as anti-Israel. Hell, Republicans are at risk of losing some of their antisemitic base which they have taken such care to welcome and comfort... Or at least having them sit this one out.

No matter which way it plays out isn't a gain for Republicans.

Are there any polls on what percentage of normy people even have a defined issue on this subject? I feel like it would be very small, maybe its because im in tejas, but I don't know many people who (publically at least) talk or care about this in real life.

I would be interested in seeing polling on this too.

My guess would be that Israel Palestine comes down very low compared to the economy, abortion, firearms and even climate change.

The protests are large but they don’t appear to be coalescing around a candidates or a petty in the US. That is very different than an issue like abortion where partisan lines are very clearly drawn.

Yes this could be like CRT that Republicans wanted to hang in Democrats but outside of the FL and the Va governors race made very little difference.

it's the anti-semitic left that should be a concern.

Yes they were but the Red Wave that was supposed to happen because of stuff like CRT didn't materialize. For that matter there were many other factors in FL and VA other than CRT that played a role in those races.

Just food for thought. Much of what's driving the impression that these campus protests are so large as to represent political shifts is coming from Social media. Like a lot of stuff on social media these may be exagerated.
