    They want to build through the draft and add a few strategic FA signings. This is not a FO that wants to swing for the fences on vets just yet. I think everybody in the league was surprised with that 3-3 start. The Carolina game brought the fan base back to Earth, but I still see a 8-9 or 7-10 season. We still have a full draft and a bunch of money next year. I can see them moving up again for the like of Bowers if need be. We are still fielding one of the youngest teams in the league and have been plagued with injuries. Before the Carolina loss, I was drinking the kool-aid and wanting them to take a chance with such a weak schedule, but I have changed my mind on that, not that it matters to anyone but me.

    They get Sweat AND Young for 2nd and 3rd round picks and we couldn't get either one?

    “We’re going to look at our team, figure out is there an opportunity to add a player that we think can help us,” Caserio said Oct. 17. “If there is, great; we’ll pursue it. If there’s not, then we won’t.

    But.....we got a safety folks. He might not be in the top 32 of safeties, but practice squad safeties are bargains. SMH

    I'm not sure Chase re-signs with the Niners. That may be a third round pick rental unless he signs a one year deal.

    C'mon guys....have some real expectations. Texans aren't doing any splash trades...even if it's for a player that'll only cost a 3rd rounder. Maybe to the Texans, a high 3rd round pick is worth more than a rental of Chase.

    And I would agree. We have 2 really good young DE’s. If there was a real difference making DT or WR, I would have been un-board with giving up our 3rd and maybe even more. We already have a pretty good team. I think we just need to be able to adjust our offense to our personnel and we will make solid progress. Too bad, Cleveland isn’t giving up. I had hopes for that pick.

    I agree with not really needing Chase. Would really like help on the offensive side...either an OG or WR/TE. Either way, Slowik better pull his head out of his ass when it comes to forcing the run.
