I’d give them a first or even two to get it done at the deadline

what about Ivey then? If Ausar is such an whoop-de-dooh, where does Ivey fit? Especially since they are still trying to make the Frenchie happen, and Alec Burks is producing, too…

    Green + Brooklyn for Ivey?
Ivey would be an interesting project. He looks very good in his sophomore year in college, but not in his freshman year…
in NBA, the rookie year was subpar somewhat, but maybe he can still become a star, maybe he just take time to adjust in general…

I was thinking Green for Book night. Maybe have to through on a first on the Rockets end.

    Isn’t Booknight a bust?
Ivey’s not a bust, just didn’t quite match expectations

So we'll trade Jalen Green and a Brooklyn pick for... Jalen Green.

haha, yes, good point. I thought he was younger, more potential-ly, and he is… but by only 4 days :)
Forgot that he spent two years in college, right after I wrote about it.
we shouldn’t be giving a pick, you’re right. straight swap should be fair.
Ivey just plays harder than Green

So his shot selection is immaculate (aside from the middies), and he's finishing at a good rate, and he's still putting up a dreadful TS%?

Shows what shooting 25% from 3 can do, alongside shooting nearly 40% of your FGA from mid-range, the latter especially isn't a recipe for long term success and has to be blamed both on Jalen and the offense in general if the best look they can generate is a 17-footer.

Really not enough sample size to make any sort of satisitical analysis. From my eye test he looks very similar to last year, good or bad

None of the advanced numbers support that. He was borderline top 90-100 at best.

Honestly, Jalen's slow start this year reminds me of KPJ's lack of progression his second and first part of his third year here. I remember being very disappointed he came out with basically no improvements over the offseason. He finally showed some modest improvement over the course of his third year here (4th year overall), so hopefully Jalen will eventually follow that trend.

I'm not sure his shot selection is great. He will attack the basket straight at a post defender and it's no wonder he misses an incredibly difficult lay up attempt over a 7 footer.

He has about the same numbers as FVV - PGs numbers are sorta dependent upon his teammates hitting shots and well......

    Last year:
VORP FVV 2.9 to KPJ 1.3
BPM FVV 2.5 to KPJ 0.4.

Those stats don't depend on teammates.

FVV had 13 potential assists that translated into 7 assists, KPJ had 15 potential assists that translated into fewer than 6 due to his scrub teammates.

That affects both BPM and VORP

Oh good lord, garbage in garbage out statistics.....they never tell the full story, but people that never played the game use them as some sort of hammer - so go ahead with your belief.

    I am confident in mine.

Just for the record VORP is a baseball amalgamation.

And if you think BPM doesn't include teammates when it is plus minus...not sure what you are smoking....but you need to share.
