The fact that TF wanted to hire JVG in 2020 explains a lot. That is why UH is stuck with Dana Holgerson. Keep this dude far away from decision making.
Seems Westbrook wasn't all that enthused with playing with Diva Harden in Houston. The Clippers seem like a problem child landing spot these days.

Wait, then by that logic trade Embiid now while you can. Of course Morey won't do that because pretty sure the owner would send him packing right after.
The problem is, who are you going to trade Embiid for? I think the problem is that "star" is overused today. Anybody you get will be a lesser player. The Sixers could find themselves in the same boat as the Rockets were in the 80's, when we traded Moses Malone for nothing. The Sixers remind me of where the Rockets were prior to 1992. Remember how everyone hated on Dream? You probably don't because people only talk about the 5 year run where we made 3 WCFs and won two titles. However, between 1985 and 1992, Dream was probably 1st or 2nd best center in the league, but between Ewing and Robinson, got short shrift. That is why he wanted to be traded; it took Rudy T to convince him to stay and to work on his game. Then he got players in the locker room who would complement him. But the most important thing Rudy did was GET RID OF STEVE PATTERSON!! Patterson was a Morey like "wunderkind" in those days; however, when he wanted to trade Dream for Ronny Seikaly and Harold Miner, that was it. Les Alexander, who had just purchased the team, sent him on his way and replaced him with Carol Dawson and Rudy T. The best thing the Sixers could do is fire Daryl Morey and get a GM that players and other GMs like so they can get better players.
I think saying PJ is overrated has been cliche for at least 5 years. It’s almost like a running parody. But for some reason contending teams and star players like to have him around.
So, does Harden have enough help this time or still nah? Can't wait for the excuses come playoff time...
the nerve of someone like Furkan Korkmaz to be demanding a trade Idk if I should laugh or respect the delusion
Embid won MVP last year. (with Harden, that pick n roll combo) Harden led league in assist. Maxey might get a bigger role, but he was on the squad already, so technically still that team still shrunk from their big 3 to big 2. Harden won them two playoffs games in the Celtics series, before getting bounced in game 6. People counted them out because Embid had that injury at the start of the series. A redundancy was there, now it's thinner. If something happens to Maxey or Embid for stretches, their season could be flushed real quick. Keeping flexible cap next year is fine, but the barometer is will they have a better record this year, if they're meh, and depending on the seed..., could be a 1st round exit.
