So do you think the reason behind Jalen running into 4 guys at full speed and throwing the ball at the rim without seeing it or Jabari not being able to post up Stephen ****ing Curry and shooting a turnaround fadeaway over him from 9 feet is because the Rockets didn't get Brook Lopez?

Left? He contested everyone of those shots. Curry just made them. I didn't think the defense was bad. Great players just make great shots,

I'm going to give Tate the Ryan Bowen Award for turning maximum effort into minimal wins. In 51 minutes this year he has a plus/minus of -43, worst on the team. The closest player to him is rookie Amen at -31. Can't wait for Tari to get back.

 

Defense was good tonight again. The Rockets didn’t lose because of defense. But it’s hard to beat any team, especially the Warriors, if you only score 95 points.

 

Here is what I keep seeing.....night after night...we have an offense, (labeled the "Houston offense" by some coaches) that comes down and every offensive set has Bari and Brooks on the wing....the ball is not going to be kicked out to the wing...watch... Alpy is going inside ( he should) Jalen is going to the rack even if it's one on 3(he shouldn't), FVV doesn't distribute to the wing very often as well. Ime said he needed to get our wings more involved than being a floor spacer. Standing on the 3 pt. line for most of the possession doesn't make a lot of sense IMO. It certainly isn't going to help rebounding. It allows the defender to cheat inside in the middle of the space between the paint player and wing player. There is little to no threat of kicking out to the wing parallel to the basket.

 

Jabari needs to be coached. He's still too hesitant and in his head. Jalen barreling into 2 defenders with his 125 lb frame and getting blocked hasn't changed since year 1 and doesn't seem like it's going to change any time soon. Just hoping Udoka makes the adjustments he needs to so we can actually win games and not end up in a situation like we did with Honcho where we're forcing a player to perform because Stone wants to look smart for hitching his wagon to him.

 

Defense is great, but it doesn't matter if you don't have any talented scorers on the roster.

 

He left him. He was on Curry then went & guarded someone else without communicating with his teammate. Out of everyone on the court, WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE CURRY?

 

Out of an entire ballgame, that's what you got ? Let me tell you a secret...the team actually went from leading to being down double digits while Jabari sat. We are down 9 I think with less than a minute when that happens. Good play, no...you want other really bad plays ? I got 'em...Alpy. > Oh yeah..blown layup ? Oh yeah. Brooks blown by and scored on ? Oh yeah. FVV with a sterling 8 pts. ? Yep. I mean you have got to get off of trying to use Bari as the scapegoat every night. Actually had a pretty decent game tonight. Second best rebounder again tonight with 8, 6 of 12 shooting, 14 pts., 5 assists, 2 steals. Jalen and Jabari of course have nothing to do with Lopez...don't you for a minute think Lopez wouldn't make a difference...for starters there wouldn't be 4 players in the lane attacking Jalen's shot. Be real.

 

My issue isn't him missing shots. Young guys will miss some.

My issue is the decision making. He drives into the paint with no plan and takes a dumb shot when better options exist. That's a habit issue. He has hit the boards a little better so far but still not seeing much vision as a passer.

I'd like to see him drive the paint and find an open shooter. 99% of the time he's hoping to get fouled... like watching bad Harden on steriods...

What play are you referring to? He contested every shot at the end Don't just make stuff up. One miscommunication where he was late switching but sure looked like defender was suppose to fight through. And even that shot was contested by brooks.

Let's get specific. There was a play in the 4th where we miraculously got an offensive rebound and Jalen decides to shoot a 3 at the top of the key several feet behind the 3pt line with about 12 seconds on the shot clock. It was at the 6:13 mark in the 4th.

Wide open I live with Eric Gordon taking that. No chance do I trust Jalen taking such a shot.

 

Check this out...Curry clowned Alpy, Brooks (twice), FVV (no problem) ,Tate (yep), Bari (yep)...like in an unconscious way.

You think our biggest problem is we need a center when in all 3 games collectively by far our best player has been…our center. I’m glad that jabari looked better tonight, he can’t possibly look worse, collectively he has still been our worst player over the 3 games. Wild that his Onlyfans think the center is the problem and not him.

 

I think the best thing for the team and Jalen may be for him to get benched.

Things have been given to him far too easy... he needs to understand he's fighting to stay in the league. I don't care about his age. This is year 3. If you're not getting significantly better then you probably never will.

 

Getting the defense right was going to be the top priority. Udoka said as much in his interviews.

Sooner or later, the Rockets could be ekeing out ugly wins if they just keep up the defensive pressure.
