Why am I not surprised you would jump in to defend Green. Did you read my post before that one? I did say Jabari should have challenged the driver and forced him to pass. He hesitated. That's his fault. But it would have been an easy pass and wide open dunk had he gone over to cut off the ballhandler. the 2 points lost was mainly due to letting the ballhandler getting in the paint untouched.
That's what a screen is supposed to do. You understand this? Go watch NBA basketball and see that 90% of the time the guard isn't successfully "fighting through the screen" to the point that the big man drop defender isn't needed. Go look at FVV tonight and see how many times he successfully fights through screens.
I think it's clear that yet again this year, Smith and Green have been an anchor around the neck of the team just like they were last season. They are still young, but damn they are bad right now. They play more like you'd expect from late first rounders or second round guys and on good teams they'd be coming off the bench or not playing at all.
Silas did not want kpj yet somehow wall got sideline and we promoted kpj to head honcho. Let's just pretend that we didn't spend the last two years with kpj manning the pg position while silas was hc. We all witness it wtf u mean fabricating history
Dude he's just saying that it was a Stone decision and not a Silas decision. Have you seen Silas. Dude is introverted and does r stand up for himself much. He wasn't going to push back on Stone and is obviously going to push the combat line. .that's why people have high hopes for Ime. Because he's the opposite of Silas in terms of presence and credibility where someone like Tillman might respect and listen to Ime more than Stone. For me as of now Stone should be doing nothing more than managing contracts but Ime should be the primary talent evaluator and telling Stone who to hunt for in the market or who to target in a draft from here on out. Stone at this point should just be held to managing and negotiating contracts and should have zero say on basketball related stuff.
How is it that Clutch writes a whole article about KPJ being forced on the Rockets over the objection of the coaches, you @DatRocketFan spend time in the thread repeatedly commenting on it and yet you're still as clueless like some doofuss calling in from Tomball on a mobile? Read the article - it's good, you might learn something.
Okay what part was I fabricating history? The kpj experiment fked over the development of the other youngsters under silas watch. Oh he was forced by stone. Are u upset I'm not more angry at stone? That dude is a sht gm, who sucks at free agency. It's just silas incompetence is a lot more glaring when u see him being forced to make kpj pg experiment into being a thing even with years of coaching experience. It's malpractice, if u know something is wrong u fix it not listen to your fking gm who knows nothing about bb. Man didn't even bother setting up plays for Smith.
Stone wanted a yes man as head coach. Honestly probably thought that was the type of coach needed to coach a team that is led by vet stars like Harden.
Whine all you want about "the KPJ experiment", but if the Rockets were able to swap KPJ for Green and Tari for Jabari, they'd have looked a LOT better in the first 2 games. People conflate off court problems with on court problems in order to push false narratives.....but it's just too transparent.
Went back and watched some of MPJ's rookie and sophomore highlights and i'm actually scared. I forgot how good he was. Forget the shooting let's just assume it's mental atm. Rookie MPJ was more fluid and more athletic. He was better around the rim. He could actually dribble he had far better handles. I was comparing Jabari with MPJ but i was wrong he is 100% worse than MPJ.
Double post. So, in order not to have wasted your time, I am appealing to your sympathy with these gifs that will hopefully remind us fans that no matter what our differences are, no matter who our favorite player is, we can overcome our prejudices and coexist peacefully... Or, Enjoy. Peace & love, AAQUAA
That is so true. But I think Jabari will come around quickly. He is more mature and he actually wants to play better. Jalen Green is a dumb ass.
Was not a fan of Jabari his first year and that was not because of lack of production only......was very much a cocky show boater.
He meant "take his ass out for some ice cream" after the game (most of the Rockets couldn't legally drink at this point)
@JayGoogle Cocky is “you can’t guard me.” Cocky is “I’m the best player on the team” Cocky is “I’m the head honcho!” “Take his ass out” is not cocky - it’s simultaneously toxic and oblivious. To see Alpi still willing to pep-talk him in the last game just shows the magnitude of difference in character between the two.
Why are you guys STILL going on about this? Seriously? It's a rumor, reported by ONE tweet. Sengun doesn't care, he's not as soft as you fans are. Sengun is the one hyping Bari up and in his corner. EDIT: BTW, if this were true, someone else would have heard it, it would have been reported, media LOVES drama. It's one guy and when asked for proof he said "Trust me bro, I was there at the game." ok. Only person at the game, its never reported on, never asked to any of the players, media never picks it up, because it never happened.
