Honest question - why do you label anyone protesting Israel's action in Gaza as "Hamas supporters?" You know there is a difference.
And an autocratic who can rule by decree can deliver all that. Well, not inflation/housing/interest rates but certainly everything else.
because they are. every death in Gaza is a direct result of the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th.
Nobody likes this guy..even his own people, unfortunately his greed and thirst for power put his own citizens at risk and allowed this attack to happen. Needs to be tried for that and war crimes. Netanyahu and wife Sara decamp to luxury mansion amid growing public anger Melanie Swan Sun, October 29, 2023 at 6:55 AM CDT·3 min read 494 Popularity is waning for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara - AFP/Getty/GIL COHEN-MAGEN Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara have decamped to the luxury mansion of a billionaire friend amid a growing tide of public anger. The private mansion in Jerusalem is said to be equipped with a deep nuclear bunker, and on Wednesday, staff were busy securing the compound. It is owned by the US duty free billionaire Simon Falic. The couple, who were accused of taking luxury gifts – including champagne and jewellery worth tens of thousands of dollars – from their wealthy donor friends, have two private residences in Jerusalem and one in the affluent coastal town of Caesarea. The move has caused outrage in Israel. Journalist Uri Misgav shared photos of the property and said: “We renovate, secure and finance three homes for the Netanyahu family.” US duty free billionaire Simon Falic has offered his luxury mansion in Jerusalem toi the Netanyahus - Steve Mack/Alamy He said the staff are being moved there, including their personal chef, with the preparations suggesting future meetings with world leaders will also be relocated there. It comes as Mr Netanyahu’s popularity has sunk dramatically since the invasion. His wife is also deeply unpopular, and has been blamed for a delay in the government response to the Hamas attack of October 7. A security source close to the situation said Mrs Netanyahu holds “a unique position in Israeli politics, serving as the closest advisor to the prime minister”, putting her in the direct line of fire for a string of controversial political moves which have this year seen hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting against the premier and his right-wing coalition. Proposed judicial reform and increased settlement expansion have brought the country’s worst civil unrest in recent times, with a war which has been the most deadly day for Jews since the holocaust. Scrutiny over extravagant lifestyle Speaking on condition of anonymity, the security source explained: “Her influence on political decisions surpasses that of any previous prime minister’s spouse in Israeli history and even on a global scale. Over the years, the Netanyahus as a family, have faced scrutiny for their extravagant lifestyle. “Additionally, Netanyahu has been indicted in multiple cases involving allegations of receiving gifts and bribes. In these controversies, Sara’s involvement has been significant, yet they often present themselves as victims of a witch hunt.” The gated mansion with its high level security will offer the PM’s wife a greater degree of privacy, away from the limelight and rising public anger. “The Netanyahus’ fleeing to the mansion is driven by their own fears as the Israeli public grows increasingly angry,” said Ben Caspit, author of The Netanyahu Years. Mrs Netanyahu is largely blamed for the five-day delay in forming an emergency war cabinet, and has been disapproving of the former defence chief, Benny Gantz, joining the coalition, deeming him “weak”. “Sara is most definitely not welcome at any of the shivas [wakes] or funerals,” Mr Caspit added. “The fear of potential protesters has limited her ability to appear in public spaces, even during her visits to military bases, where soldiers are disarmed before her arrival.” Broaden your horizons with award-winning British journalism. it takes some real mental leaps to justify that logic. Go back and see how the nazi's justfied what they did...you'll find chilling similarities.
you are the one taking mental leaps calling the Israelis, the Jewish people, whose ancestors got murdered in the holocaust, the Nazis is about as twisted and ass backwards as you can get Over 1,000 innocent Israelis and foreigners just got brutally murdered by the guys you are defending here, the actual Nazis - Hamas - and that got cheered on by hundreds of thousands of Muslims and leftists inside and outside of Gaza, including some posters here. shame on you
I am glad the leader of Good in the fight of Good vs. Evil is staying in a safe place. I could not care less about whether he drinks champagne and whether his wife talks to him or not. These hit pieces by leftists only serve one purpose, to divide those who are defending freedom. And the difference is, such freedom of opinion is allowed in Israel. In Gaza, people would get murdered for questioning the leader. The Israelis can vote on Netanyahu after they are done with Hamas. As long as Hamas is in power, the Gazans cannot do the same. Let Mr. Netanyahu eliminate the Hamas threat and liberate the Gazans.
it takes real mental leaps to blame the people using human shields for the death of those used as a shield.......
Except that you’ve confabulated and made up a talking point I’ve never stated. So yes, if you continue to sing tales about what someone else says you will find yourself out there
The problem is, just prior to this..he worked to undermine that liberty you cited. The entire country went on strike to protest his power grab. He then repeatedly ignored intelligence briefings of this attack (per the former head of intelligence himself). Multiple countries have corroborated this. Not to mention he was Hamas’s biggest supporter for a while all in an effort to undermine the PLO. I applaud his bravery from the ealrier article you posted…but as leader of his country he has been an abject failure. At some point incompetence/malice has to be dealt with justice. It will be upto his own people on how to try him. I think in isolation living a life of luxury shouldn’t be attacked, but in the context of the above the Israeli people are angry for a reaisn
Nope, again, your understanding of rationalizing is incorrect and your reading comprehension is not looking good. I have never once defended Hamas action's. Never once expressed support not directly or indirectly. Yet you keep inventing that claim. I've only stated facts. However, you know what is a rationalization/defense? Saying that all deaths in Gaza are on Hamas and Israel should take no blame. You're rationalizing in order to defend civilian casualties.
No they aren't. Israel has a right to defend itself. But if it is reckless and bombs civilians, that would be on them. We have no idea who is responsible for lives at this point, or what percentage of the blame goes where. Hamas doing their thing, for example, wouldn't give Israel the right to exterminate all of Gaza and kill 2 million people. If "the first bad guy is responsible" logic were true, you could argue all the "well, Israel did settlements" or "Palestinians were there first" or "Israel was there before Muslims existed" or whatnot to the beginning of time. It's all nonsensical justifications. Ultimately, people are responsible for the actions they take. Hamas is responsible for their actions; Israel is responsible for theirs. Theirs may be justified by Hamas' actions, but it's still Israels' decisions and bombs and actions that will kill Gaza civilians. That's the reality of war.
