    Netanyahu:

After graduating from high school in 1967, Netanyahu returned to Israel to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces. He trained as a combat soldier and served for five years in a special forces unit of the IDF, Sayeret Matkal. He took part in numerous cross-border raids during the 1967–70 War of Attrition, rising to become a team-leader in the unit. He was wounded in combat on multiple occasions.[32] He was involved in many other missions, including the 1968 Israeli raid on Lebanon and the rescue of the hijacked Sabena Flight 571 in May 1972, in which he was shot in the shoulder.[33][34] He was discharged from active service in 1972 but remained in the Sayeret Matkal reserves. Following his discharge, he left to study in the United States but returned in October 1973 to serve in the Yom Kippur War.[31][35] He took part in special forces raids along the Suez Canal against Egyptian forces before leading a commando attack deep inside Syrian territory, the details of which remain classified today.[36]

Dude is tough. And there are many young ones like him in Israel at a fighting age, with significantly higher IQs than the average Hamas fighter's IQ.

    Israel will destroy Hamas.

P.S.: Bibi and Mitt Romney also once worked at the same company I worked at.

If they could, they already would. They've attacked on Gaza yesterday, and 29 IDF terrorists more have been arrested and the rest of the IDF withdrew.

So with their last terror attack on Gaza, they have managed to reduce the number of prisoners from 201 to 230. Fantastic Mossad and Fantastic IDF are making miracles happen out there.

I just feel sad for innocent Palestnian people, innocent Israeli people and the next generation of Israelis who'll be suffering because of their war criminal ancestors. You should understand it better than anyone else in here.

Netanyahu is not just killing innocent Palestinians right now, he's also killing next generation of Israelis who'll live 200-300 years later from now.

There could be peace in ME, he got in charge and f*cked everything including the existence of Israel in the long run.

I someone gave me a Tesla, model X, Y or Z, I would immediately sell it. I'll never buy or possess one of Musk's cars. You go right ahead.

You do understand that every time Israel and anyone gets closer to peace, Hamas launches rockets to try to scuttle it, right? That goes long before Bibi's insanity took over. Israel has certainly taken the bait in the past, but there other other forces sabotaging peace too. Al Qaeda randomly blew things up for a long time before 9/11 too. Hamas likely wanted to stop the normalization of relations between Saudi and Israel. But like AQ in 9/11, Hamas finally went too far this time and now there will be repercussions.

One of the side effects of the US-led global world order over the last many decades is we have a whole generation of people who simply don't understand the reality or ugliness of war, or what people will do to defend themselves when invaded and when their very existence is threatened. Prior to this current world order, wars were a pretty regular thing and people understood how messy it gets - and death tolls from those wars dwarf the kinds of things we see today. The idea that Israel wouldn't or shouldn't respond is insane. The idea that there won't be any civilian casualties is insane (how many civilians is the US responsible for killing in Afghanistan?). The idea that Israel should agree to a ceasefire and let Hamas regroup is insane. The idea that any country in the world wouldn't shut down an enemy's communication lines is insane. If anyone in WW2 had the ability to cut communications or power in enemy countries, they'd have done it in a heartbeat, regardless of its effect on civilians. It's what war is - messy, ugly, deadly.

Hamas forced this issue, and unfortunately, now the people it governs are going to suffer. That's true of any country that starts a war, unfortunately, regardless of whether the people support the leadership or not. If China invades Taiwan, its people will suffer a price. Russia's people and economy are suffering a price for Putin's actions. If Iran bombs anyone, it's people are going to suffer. If the US were to invade Mexico, you can be damn sure US civilians would die as part of the response.

Feeling sad for innocent civilians is something we all agree on, but this is all on Hamas and their enablers and supporters.

Netanyahu didn't invade Gaza and murder, rape and kidnap civilians. Hamas did this to innocent Israeli civilians.

Netanyahu or Israel do not have it in their charter to eradicate and murder the other side. Hamas does.

I understand that you self-describe as an atheist, but you have clearly been subject to the same brainwashing most of the Muslim mainstream has been exposed to.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the discussion in this forum is one of the first times you actually get exposed to opposing viewpoints, which partly explains your self-righteous outrage and anger.

You are clearly not unintelligent. I have seen your posts in the GARM. I hope you find it in your heart to consider the perspective of the few (relatively speaking) Israelis and Jews in the world. This massacre, the worst since the holocaust (yes, that happened) proves that Hamas (and the backers behind them) are a more existential threat to all of them than they wanted to believe.

They have no other choice than to try and eliminate that threat.

Hamas used surprise to kill as many civilians as possible. Israel is warning civilians to leave the likely combat zone.

Every loss of civilian life on either side in this conflict is on Hamas.

Not on Netanyahu. Not on Israel. Not on "the West".

Not all of them, there was also Breivik, etc., but unfortunately the fringe elements of the ideology of Islam are behind the majority of violent terror in the world at this point in history.

I don’t think I know a single person that doesn’t think what Hamas did was evil.

I am sure there are Arabs and some radicals that feel differently- but that is very much the minority in the USA.

However - thinking that what Hamas did was disgusting doesn’t mean someone supports Israel on the issue of apartheid, human rights or how Israel has treated Palestinians for a long time.

These are two separate issues - and both Israel and Hamas are trying to present them as linked for political reasons.

Erdogan needs to worry about keeping his own country from turning on him.

He is asking why no Muslim countries are taking in Palestinians? No one wants Palestinians, and they also don’t want to lose their country.

I find the question perplexing as it doesn’t justify actions on either side. Also - before WWII not a single country wanted Jews- not one, so they were given their own country…. If no one wants Palestinians, do they get their own country?

Israel has admitted to giving money to Hamas (the military wing) and pushing for a civil war between first the PLO, and then Fatah in 2007 with Hamas. It benefited from splitting the Gaza strip from the west bank and being able to isolate it.
