I largely agree with this. There is a lot of anti-semitism and we need to guard against it. That said im seeing a lot of people essentially say that any talk of Israel policies harming Palestinians is anti semitism.

Viewing this as either you’re on the side of oppressed people fighting oppression or you’re an anti semite is why actual progress is so hard to make. Both sides rationalize their actions as morally justified.

I can’t speak for other countries but the US
Immigration process especially for refugees has pretty extensive vetting. It take about two years on average for a refugee to get here and a lot are rejected.

I don't think they're going to be able to call anyone in Gaza. This is for us in the West so they can say "we told them to leave" as they level blocks marginally associated with Hamas.

First of all, the borders in Germany are basically totally open. The leftist German government not only has no freaking idea who is in the country, they are actually paying for ships to bring them in. And they are giving everyone money, that's why they are all coming.

Secondly, the southern border in the US is incredibly porous. So yes, the vetting is much better in the US when someone actually goes through proper process. But those you don't want do not do that.

Germany is between a rock and a hard place. They are facing demographic collapse without open migration and even with it. There is a real chance German industry wholly collapses in the next 20 years, and we lose industrial giants like Siemens AG, BOSCH, and BASF.

This is correct, but then don't drive up energy prices by turning off nuclear and thereby kill your own industry, while at the same time allowing the WRONG TYPE OF (very costly) mass migration (people immigrating straight into the welfare system who just want to take advantage of the system and neither have the skills nor the inclination to contribute to society, and who in fact are openly hostile to fundamental values and human rights that used to be societal consensus in the country (women's rights, LGBTQ rights, religious tolerance, etc.).

It doesn't fix "demographic collapse" to bring in people who are damn close to being illiterate. At least the USA try to pick the people they allow in, based on a) whether they bring anything useful to America's society and b) whether they respect the US constitution and fundamental values of the country.

Germany is literally committing suicide as a society and as a country. And much of Europe isn't much better off. And, sorry to say, unskilled and unvetted immigration from Muslim countries is a big part of the problem. Not all of it, but a big part of it.

But without the cheap labor from the Middle East and Turkey, the problem would be even worse. The US system works in part because we have Central Americans coming to do the jobs no one wants for low wages to remit back to their families. But if they settle and have children, those kids typically do much better in the US system and are no longer going to be in the wage depressing labor pool and go into the regular wages pool (college educated, services). So wages have to go up, which means the various low wage industries just push the cost onto the customers. The uneducated Syrian or Turk (not sure who else is making up the majority of the Middle Easterners) will work for less doing the less desirable jobs, freeing up the German and desired educated immigrants to do the value added, high income jobs that keep the economy and society growing.

Germany, France, UK are going to have to decide if their founding ethnic and cultural identity matters more, or if prosperity does. I suspect the latter will be chosen. The UK's PM and London's Mayor are both South Asian ancestry.

There is no prosperity without social cohesion and rule of law. When you start having ghettos and a significant percentage of the population that defies fundamental principles of tolerance and human rights, you will not have prosperity.

Speaking of calling Gaza, I read somewhere today the Israeli government is pissed at Elon Musk for not disabling Starlink in Gaza, and are severing all business ties with SpaceX. So SOME internet in Gaza is possible if you are well-to-do. I'm sure Hamas leadership is checking their Insta right now in some underground bunker with their satellite internet.

Obviously, for 99.99% of the population of Gaza, Starlink might as well be on another planet.

US Jewish leaders and Israel were already pissed at Elon for repeatedly promoting and amplifying anti-semitic propaganda on Twitter before all this chaos started. Right when the war started, he promoted two anti-Israel propaganda accounts to all his followers as reliable sources of information. I think his relationships with Israel and the broader Jewish community were already on the verge of collapse.
