I think it could be possible that Russia pushes Allies in the Middle East to attack US interests. I have a hard time seeing the PRC though seriously aiding countries or groups like Haezbollah to attack US interests. The PRC is even more dependent on Middle East oil than we are and a major war in the Middle East will harm their energy sources. Also over the weekend a Chinese ship hit a Philippines ship in disputed waters and the US reaffirmed its support of the Philippines and other allies in the Asia.
