Jabari looks like he cares more about playing offense than defense this year.

Unfortunately his offense still isn't proven against non-summer league competition.

This is what I've noticed about Jabari. He has the look of someone athletic, but it doesn't translate on the court. He can't blow by anybody and if his jumper isn't falling when he is shooting over somebody it just looks bad.

Jabari is a bit of a weird athlete. He's built like he can be a young Giannis but he doesn't use his body to his advantage. He rarely gets blocks or dunks over dudes. Even Giannis, in his rookie year, who looked similar to Jabari's current build was playing very aggressively on his drives and going for blocks on the other end.

His handle almost looked passable in the preseason and then suddenly brick hands again. SMH.

He averaged about 1 block per game last season. Not earthshattering stat, but I wouldn't say it's "rarely ever" either.

Al Horford is considered a good defensive big at 6'9 and he only average 1.2 blocks for his career. You don't have to be super athletic to be a good defender. Lateral speed is probably the most important in terms of physical abilities.

Jabari needs more muscle mass to be a good low post defender. He has the length and foot speed to play effective switch. I expect the whole team will look better defensively when they have gelled.

He's a huge scrub man. I hope Udoka benches his ass when Tari gets back. Tari is everything Jabari thinks he is.

Someone go pull up my posts when I said Jabari was a second round talent and someone here went off on me.

    I’ll find it later.
