If I'm scratching for positives, it's Dillon Brooks. I thought he played okay. They also made a nice run to get back in it in the third, so the potential is there. Overall though, this is one of those games where you burn the tape and try to forget it ever happened, because they were disgraceful.
This team looks like a bottom-5 offense. I don’t know how they can muster 110 points other than occasionally getting hot from 3.
It was one game. Do you remember that the Celtics were playing way below their talent the first few months with Udoka? There's a new coach, lots of roster changes, and a very young team. You can't project much from one game, definitely not statistically. The plus/minus stuff is meaningless at this point. All the statistical projection systems take several weeks to collect enough data to make any predictions with confidence. And raw plus/minus is useless for us. You need a huge sample size for raw plus/minus to mean anything—years of data. Tell me about the players' adjusted plus/minus in January. As for the last two years, it's also too early to tell. Basically all 19 year old rookies suck. The exceptions are hall of famers. As I recall, historically, a player has to show something by/during his age-22 season. If it happens sooner, great, but don't expect Jabari to be a good player this year. But yes, this is the year Jalen has to show us something. If at the end of the season he remains one of the very worst defenders in the game (DARKO says he's the worst, considerably below Trae Young) then we can weep. On offense, he's coming along just fine. For the moment, you just have to use your eyes. You can say yeah, clearly the scouting reports were correct, Amen needs to tighten up his handle. He'll probably be one of the league leaders in TO this year. Not a big deal for his first year. But he's turning 21 mid-season so yes, it would be great if he shows us something this year.
Realistic positivity ok here go... Brooks and Tate were fantastic. Our 3 spot is locked and loaded. Amen was probably just really, really nervous. Jalen and Jabari basically can't play worse than that. It's all uphill from here?
Ime Udoka's finals team with the Boston Celtics was consistently playing less than .500 ball up until January 28th. It's October 27th.
Oh right, but if the Rockets won by 20 or 30, you could be sure folks are yelling Playoffs. (the not so level headed ones) Fact remains that the youngins are easily guardable, more so than I assumed. This is sports, either sky is falling or sky is the limit.

A billion times over I would rather be in/on the Dynasty Train than the Poo-Poo Platter Train! If a fan is constantly bashing and finding faults on their (alleged) team then you know they are not a true fan!! They are a true bandwagon fans!! No, I'm not delusional, I know my Rockets have a steep uphill battle to reach contender level, but I REFUSE to constantly be kicking them while they're trying to make the climb!! Sadly, I keep seeing the same (alleged) fans/posters keep bashing our team over, and over, and over, and over, and over etc. I could understand if the are newbs to this sight who are probably here for a season or two and then never to be heard from again, BUT the ones who have been here for 10,15, 20yrs frickin years?? That is fine, I am just saying, it is just forum for venting one's frustration and emotions. Life itself is none of those, it is rather boring and probably just consists of wins and losses alike. And lots of consolation prizes, like people consume to make themselves feel better about something bad.
I get it, what I'm saying is if the Rockets and this sight are constantly making your life miserable, then perhaps changes are in order. I personally come to this forum to get away from the frustration, boredom and pressures of the real world! I come to see the @i3artow i3aller gifs, the quirky @Jontro comments, the informative @BimaThug posts and of course to make fun of everything @DaDakota posts!! I used to really enjoy my back an forth with my arch nemesis @SwoLy-D, but he's been pretty much AWOL the last couple of years... Who knows, maybe some/all of these posters that are constantly bashing the Rockets are actually masochists?? Maybe they are enjoying this sight after all... Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
Now that you mention it, I might be. Never thought to psychoanalyze myself of why I come here. Though I'm not one who always bashes the Rockets, I'm just talking about being a Rockets fan in general.
