This is trippy. The French can be sneaky! France possesses a vast area of the Pacific Ocean, French Polynesia. French Polynesia is a French overseas territory with a high level of autonomy under the terms of the 2004 Organic Law (2004-192). It comprises five archipelagos (Society, Tuamotu, Marquesas, Gambier and Australs). French Polynesia is spread over more than 5.3 million square kilometers, approximately the size of Europe. ALBATROSSES TO HUNT ILLEGAL FISHING BOATS By The Australian Strategic Policy Institute - November 7, 2018. Posted in Marine Research and Training, Naval auxiliary/support vessels, Regulation & Enforcement. The French navy is planning to use albatrosses to catch illegal fishermen in its area of responsibility in the Indian Ocean. The birds will be fitted with small, light-weight transceivers to detect the low-frequency signals of illegal trawlers. The data will enable the navy to identify and track vessels; it will also be used by scientists to study the birds’ behavior.
Something I posted in a D&D thread in a reply to @FranchiseBlade that i thought would be nice to park in Unsorted. You might have to reload it to bring up a video I added. : I haven't seen the documentary and would love to. I'll be on the lookout for it. I did the light show at a club across the street from Love Street one summer. The live music there ended at midnight, so about twenty minutes later I was laying back on a cushion enjoying the 13th Floor Elevators or one of the other psychedelic groups, enjoying myself immensely. The image below of the main area of the club was taken with a flash, as it normally was dark inside. Their lightshow was a heck of a lot better than what I was able to produce. I could explain how I did it, but the fellow in the video below shows much of the technique. This was during the late '60's, and as he gets into digital video, the use of a computer and the like, there was none of that back then.
