Not only did Chas cry to Chandler, he on multiple occasions told what went on in players only meetings. Like he has a stature on the team. He doesn’t and shouldn’t.

Choosing to play Maldy despite having runners on is an active choice as is starting him. The roster is 26 players.

You don't know that. Moreover, if I recall, Chandler claimed to have four different sources on the banana pudding scandal.

The Astros have not gotten progressively worse. They won 106 games last season, still have most of their players, the players they did lose have been replaced with good/great players, and they've added the rarest commodity in baseball --- an awesome-hitting catcher.

Astros will likely win 102+ games next season.

The team could've done better THIS season if the manager played his best players, but he chose otherwise.

Chandler wrote what everyone already knew. Baker was biased against Chas or just plain stupid. You don't platoon plus defensive centerfielder that have an .800+ OPS who so happens to be the best fastball hotter in the league. If you think otherwise, then it's not worth discussing with you.

is dusty hall of fame worthy?

bobby cox, who managed the great Atlanta Braves team in the '90s and won only one ring, is the the Hall. If Cox in worthy,
then Dusty Bekers is more worthly than bobby cox.

    tid bits on Dusty Baker.

    • Dusty was on deck, when Henry Aaron hit his 714h HR
    • Dusty, along w fellow Dodgers teammate, Glen Burke, has been credited to be the co-inventor of teh "high-five"

Dusty definitely sounds more than a tad salty and petty, which isn’t the usual vibe when you’re happily retiring. Makes me think this wasn’t entirely his decision….

Maldy is Maldy. Tucker led the league in RBIs. He had ONE oin the playoffs. In the playoffs. If he would have had 2 or 3 in the ALCS, the Astros win.
You can try to blame Maldy for the ALCS loss, but you are blinded by bias. Keep trying to diminish Dusty as a manager, just makes you look like a fool. But Hey, Dusty is not your problem anymore.

Dusty is first ballot. There is no question. 2000+ wins is automatic.

My contention is if Leody can provide production in the 9 slot, why did we intentionally bench a player that could at minimum match the production with enough playing time to get into rhythm or keep Maldy fresh when he had to catch multiple games in less than 24 hours?

    Baker v Chas:
    1) 2022 spring training, unprompted frustration of the idea that Chas was front runner for CF spot
    2) saying Chas bats better against lefties only because he chooses which lefties he bats against... then benching him against the lefties
    3) the gold jerseys snub
    4) Julks over Chas when Chas was already healthy this season
    5) Banana pudding

No doubt he is HOFer just like Connie Mack. But like Mack... couldn't adjust to a new era. He owes Chas more than weekly banana pudding for his ring.

    6) Chas is a boy compared to the men on the team like Bregman or Tucker…was this an actual quote or something social media made up?

Not being a "big boy" like Julio despite Julio having an inferior season...
