Yes, vicious cycle. If someone like Hamas invaded my neighborhood and did that I would never forget or forgive.
What am I looking at and why do I care. Right now we have a nuclear power that has a leader that just said "We are the people of the light, they are the people of darkness: prophecy of Isaiah." So I have real things to worry about. You can go scream about leftists in your scitzo world.
SocDemLad is the guy that tweeted that video of Ethan Klein (presumably a social democrat lad). Hasan's discord is a discord server started by Hasan Piker (one of the largest left-wing/socialist/communist influencers in the US).
Don't know who is Ethan Klein and what that video is about. Discord server for gaming, right? Wonder how large is that group. And I also have to question, how can we trust what SocDemLad said or his interpretation? Anyhow, I'm not sure why we should place much value on a single person's tweet or a Discord group. It's too easy nowadays to point to a tweet or I guess now, a Discord server, and use that as a broad brush for something. That can easily lead one to distortion and delusion.
So what we're seeing here is a planned schoolwide protest that was 3 hours long, primarily targeting the school's official opinion of the war. They spent time all over campus, had Jewish ppl in their group, and made their way to the president's office for a protest. Afterward, they continued protesting through the hallways around school. Including the library. Which they protested at. "When we reached the library, we were told that it was closed so we continued chanting outside the glass window of the library. Many different students of all backgrounds were in the library at the time. We would like to make it clear that our protest was not targeting any individual students or faculty, but the institution itself." And so now they're protest is being declared anti-Semitic because a few Jewish ppl were in the library during the protest and misinterpreted their intentions. ...I've seen people in others subs saying those kids protesting shouldve been shot because the student could've lynched someone... This "incident" is so wildly blown out of proportion.
https://apnews.com/article/hamas-gh...zbollah-iran-ee10f09cf1ffe34ab68cff7987b49f53 So a Hezbollah leader, a Hamas leader and an Islamic Jihad leader walk into a room in Beirut.... And a Hamas spokesperson summarizes their view with this statement: Hamad said. “So I think that it is now logical that the use of the resistance is legal against the occupation. And there is no space now to talk about peace with Israel or about a two-state solution or to talk about coexistence.” #1. They declare war crimes against citizens, including women & children, to be legal. #2. They have no desire or intention to talk about peace. #3. They have no desire for a two state solution. #4. They have no wish to coexist with Israel for one. But, I think one can infer that he is also talking about coexistence with Jews, infidels and anyone who doesn't adhere to their brutal and oppressive version and interpretation of strict, extremist Islamic shariah law.
Ethan Klein is the guy in the video talking. He is a large youtuber and has a podcast on which Hasan was a guest (not sure how many times). That was the original purpose of discord, but it has turned into more of a general community messaging/voice app. No idea how many people are on his server, but probably quite a few. As far as I know, all he did was post the video clip, relevant to this post. People can put as much or as little weight on whatever they choose.
Sounds typical. Nearly everything is blown completely out of proportion. We live in a culture of fast judgment and outrage at our fingertips.
I’m very familiar with Discord. I know nothing about Hasan’s server, but I will generally say that it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there are some crazy people there, and that some may take the actions of a few and apply it to the whole. It’s typical generalization behavior. So, people who have NOT taken the time to actually research a claim are pretty naive to trust it, unless they actually know the source and have trust in that source.
and clutchfans is the largest rockets forum in the world. Somehow it has become credible to embed something in tweet and make it official. Nobody gives a f about what they or 4chan trolls say
There were no unhinged protestors. There was no congregation of Jewish people at a library. It was just random people with a couple of people just happening to be Jewish in the library. It's such an absurd premise. The students are protesting and marching along the campus. Jewish protestors among them also because Jewish people have plenty of humans with basic empathy skills. The library was merely a place in their path of the protests. No one had any idea or notion of trapping any Jews in a library. It's such an absurd premise. Is your guiding principle in life "I have to hate leftists regardless of context"!
