I think we should all pitch in and buy you a subscription to Baseball Reference, lol - Nolan Arenado wasn't very good last year; will be 33 next year; and is owed $110MM. I mean, Pena actually had a higher bWAR last season. There is ZERO reason to move on from Pena and disrupt Bregman at 3B. Their needs are OF, possibly 1B, a back-up C and pitching. Dumping tens of millions of dollars into an aging Arendao is just a terrible use of what are likely limited resources.
That’s actually a pretty good idea. Although I think an Urquidy for Lewis (plus maybe a lower prospect) swap might make more sense.
I'm sitting on the plane next to framber in coach to new york. How does he not afford first class? Had a nice chat with him. Poor guy feels awful for letting the team down and said he's hardly slept since monday. What a lovely guy with his daughter
Will take as we get off the plane. Don't want to be a weirdo I had no idea he stays he in New York during off-season. His wife and kids love it there he said. Hes going leave to the Mets I guarantee you. Framber is a nice guy but he's not worth the 200+ million hell get.
If Arenado hadn't dipped in production we couldn't afford him. The money would nearly be half covered. If you're paying 15 million per year for 4 years and the Montero/Graveman money; I think it's reasonable. He's a defensive upgrade too. Also gives you a backup plan if Bregman wants too much.
1.000 OPS in AAA this year. Has barely played in big leagues due to injuries since his ROY. Giving up our #7-8 starter is fair value. Low cost and high reward potential.
I realize what Luhnow built and care more about how to extend the championship run for as long as possible. This means some of your favorites might have to go to extend the championship window. Montgomery had the better yr and pitched better when it counted the most. The numbers you posted mean nothing.

Montgomery did NOT have a better year than Framber, and you know who would disagree with you that the numbers I posted mean nothing? Jeff Luhnow, who would have 1,000s other metrics underscoring the point that even in a down year for Framber, Montgomery wasn’t better. Framber made $7MM this year. Montgomery is probably going to get $25+MM as a free agent + a lengthy(-ier) contract. I can’t believe in 2023 we still have to explain short sample sizes to people.
Cool beans! Just FYI i wasnt trying to be a dick with my previous comment. After i re-read it i felt like it could of been portrayed as a very dickey comment.
