Companies That Get ‘Woke’ Aren’t Going Broke — They’re More Profitable Than Ever

I wasn't aligned with anything.

I always said that I thought the official story didn't quite add up with regards to the guy's motive. And I still stand by that.

You and other leftists were desperate to paint this guy as "right-wing MAGA", when he is a Canadian leftist whose immigration status in the US appears to be illegal.

Fact of the matter is that he was a volunteer for a very far left organization which had repeatedly organized demonstrations at the house of the Pelosis.

It seems more likely that the guy was just a confused (maybe partly due to many years of drug abuse) conspiracy theorist who picked up elements of his conspiracy theories from various directions than that he was classical "right wing MAGA", even though you remain desperate to preserve that narrative.

I did post news articles and speculation about additional elements of the developing story, which, as of now, appear to have been incorrect with regard to a prior relationship of Pelosi and his attacker. But I never made that speculation my own just by posting it.

I know you leftists would prefer a world where nothing but your version of events is allowed to get posted, like in China under the CCP (you have the same mindset) and pre-Musk on social media during Covid (which is one reason why you leftists hate Musk so much), but fortunately, that's not how things work in the (relatively) free world.

Deal with it.

She was actually the one who was out of touch. She put her personal ideological views ahead of the company's interest. The way to rejuvenate a brand is not to insult the current customer base as "fratty" and non-inclusive.

Barbie was super woke and seems to be doing better than every other movie. Maybe there just isn't much correlation between woke and broke.

 

There is definitely an audience for "woke" stuff. My point is that NASCAR, beer, gun shows, rodeos etc. probably aren't that audience. Seems tone deaf to try to "re-educate" this target group towards more wokeness.

I will say one thing about Disney and Netflix. I personally don't mind them introducing more diverse characters at all, unless it's historically inaccurate and therefore absurd (like black Cleopatra). I think it is a good thing for all children to have some hero characters they could see themselves identifying with/growing up towards.

I was thinking about that when watching the Disney parade at Disneyworld, seeing some cute black and Asian kids in the audience, and some of the characters in the parade being people of colour as well. I think that's a good thing.

My kids watch some show on Netflix with black cartoon characters, they love it. I don't think they care about the colour of the characters one way or another.

 

Lately I've been drinking Love Street Blonde (reminds me of the club by Allen's Landing that I went to dozens of times back in the day, and it's tasty)

It has to be incredibly time consuming, tiresome, what have you, to be a woke fraud. How these people can just fluctuate between different beliefs on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis is mind boggling. Do morals not exist? What the **** are you teaching the numerous kids you’re having?

No wonder most of the young generation are clueless and just watch YouTube all day.

Are all these woke people just drug addicts and alcoholics who forget what they are for breakfast this morning?

 

You know there's a documentary about that club coming out in film festivals. I've seen parts of it, and it looks amazingly interesting. All kinds of stuff about which that I had no idea.
