I saw a video of some lady who was on a first date and he took her to Cheesecake Factory and she refused to get out because it was beneath her..............talk about a red flag, he took her home which was smart. But for real, what's wrong with the Cheesecake Factory for a first date, we don't know each other, how do I know what you like and how do you know I want to spend a ton of cash before I know if I even can tolerate you for an hour. I haven't dated in forever but I used to go on a first date to a quiet place for a drink and maybe some appetizers.
Before I was married, first date was usually me picking them up at some place and bringing them home. Was I doing it wrong or nah?
Right? If you can’t think of anything to talk about the menu doubles as James Joyce’s “Ulysses.” kidding. I hope i never have to date again. I’ll be enjoying Cheesecake Factory with my wife
First date restaurants I've hit: Sonic Bennigan's Chili's Olive Garden Random Mongolian BBQ place 3 different Mexican restaurants in Huntsville There are others but nothing memorable. I'm a baller.
Does it count as a first date if you’ve already done the deed? Because I took my girlfriend in college to Johnny Carinos for our first date but had already hooked up after college parties. Other first dates I can remember: -Baybrook Mall back when it was cool -Esteban’s in league city -ACL (made her watch Massive attack instead of John Mayer and she was pissed) -That’s about all I can remember. Cheesecake Factory isn’t that bad honestly. Especially when you’re high school to early 20’s that place is awesome. We actually ate there before prom one year and thought it was the jam. Oh and the Johnny Carinos girl is now the mother of my child. I like them classy.
First date meet for drinks at the bar. If things are going well, conversation is flowing, everyone is having a good time, then transition to another bar for drinks and maybe an appetizer. Then it depends on modes of transportation (did you come in separate cars? Uber? subway? bus?) but you either go to her car for the goodnight kiss, getting the commitment to date 2 on the way, or you drive her home, or you go to the same place together if that's how the date turns out. That's been my best experiences anyway.
One of the three was a legit Mexican restaurant. Had the telenovelas on the TV, staff only spoke Spanish, and the food was as good as you could hope for at a place like that. I took a girl there who had just moved to the US from Mexico a year before. I thought that was a decent move and I stand by it. Sure, I did regret it a bit when the handsome and overly friendly waiter chatted her up in Spanish while I just sat there like a dumbass, but otherwise it went well enough. The second one was garbage, but they had like $1.50 margaritas and would continue to serve until you fell dead in the booth. So, you know, good bang for the buck. The third was also garbage, but it was farther away from the school. I had a gf at the time and I wanted to pick a place where I wasn't likely to bump into anyone that I or my gf knew. So, there was a reason for it.
My 1st date with my wife of 33 years now...fishing the jetties. 2nd date was the dollar theater to see Uncle Buck. I've told her many times since then, "you had the clues but you chose to ignore them".
