13 pitchers all hands on deck. Framber is the only guy not available, Abreu is very likely not available. That said most pitchers should not be used. Javier - starts and pitches between 3-6 innings. Pressly absolutely must pitch at least 1 and possibly 2. Abreu absolutely must pitch 1 inning if available. Neris must pitch 1 inning (14 pitches last night, day off, 17 pitches on Fri.) Maton must pitch 1 inning and possibly 2. That's all of the "musts" and covers 6 innings (worst* case) to all 9 (best case) *I know it's not really worst case but it's worst case that I care to think about and expect could result in a win. I would count backwards: 9th inning: Pressly 8th inning: Abreu or Neris 7th inning: Neris or Maton 6th inning: Maton or Javier 5th inning: Javier or France 4th inning: Javier or France 3rd inning: Javier 2nd inning: Javier 1st inning: Javier If Abreu is available then Javier does not go more than 5. If he's not then the 6th inning is possible. If Javier needs to be pulled early, then France is his replacement Maton starts the 6th inning if Abreu is available or 7th if he's not. Neris starts warming when Maton enters, takes over the next inning or if there is trouble. Abreu does the same at start of next inning if available. Pressly starts warming at start of 8th comes in if needed or starts 9th if not.
If Dubon had just gone with the pitch to right center. 4-4 1st and 3rd 1 out. And then there's the case of Singleton. Dumbass Dusty almost lucked out again with the same stupid pitcher walking him in successive nights.
Diaz has struck out 5/12 plate appearances this postseason and, generally, is a free swinger (his walk rate is 3%). He was never going to see a strike in that AB and a strikeout there essentially ends the game + I’m guessing, he was on deck, & him hitting if Singleton can work his way on is infinitely more dangerous. Again, I don’t know that Singleton was the best choice - but you can see in how his AB played out exactly why Baker thought he was the best choice. My choice would’ve been Chas and then Diaz for Maldonado.
But the last part of that Is exactly what needs to happen Maton-Neris- Abreu- Pressly 6th-9th or 7th-9th with out Abreu. The question Is who gets it to the 6th/7th and do any of those guys go more than 1 inning? Dusty needs France warming up starting in the 3rd inning at 1st sign if trouble.
that is Dustys: “Welcome back to the H mother F line-up”. I’m all about it. Breggy is as clutch as just about anyone. Hopefully we get so far out ahead that Yainer gets to play.
I'll add that I won't be wearing my Astros socks. The last two times I wore them, the Astros lost Game 7 to Washington and Game 2 to Texas, which I attended in person.
I already said no offense! You can't take offense mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Let's **** Dallas over yet again tonight!
