Dusty had no control of South Oklahoma losing with the lead. He did have control over playing like we had a lead when we didn't.
They hung 3 on him in game 2 - and he was very fortunate it wasn’t more: that bases loaded/no out jam was incredible pitching but it was also a gigantic missed opportunity. I feel fairly confident against him - but I have almost zero confidence in Framber and can’t wrap my brain around their record at home.
The Rangers playing poorly down the stretch doesn’t mean anything if we don’t beat them 9 of 13 times; if we don’t win 5 of our final 6; if we don’t win 90 games despite losing Altuve & Yordan & 3/5 of our expected rotation for long stretches… Stop chopping this up & trying to find reasons to be upset. They’re a game away from a third straight pennant after winning one of the all-time great playoff games - in large part because Dusty Baker managed the ever-living hell out of the game.
“In February 2020, Young was promoted to senior vice president to replace Joe Torre as the MLB's enforcer of discipline action, such as deciding fines and suspensions.“ It all makes sense now. Chris Young made a few phone calls to his former coworkers in the FO.
I’m nervous about tonight’s game but I get the feeling this is going to be a very tight game as much as game 5 was. So many storylines out there like how will the Rangers respond? How will Framber pitch?
I’m very confident Astros are going to rake tonight and Framber pitches a gem. Winning Game 5 in that fashion has a big ripple effect
Hope you're right. Truth be told, this series probably goes 7 games. Framber has deteriorated, Astros struggle at home, and Eovaldi is good. Hope I'm wrong. I thought Astros would drop one at Arlington, but they won all 3.
Maybe Framber needs to let go of the uniform thing and just pitch in different ones. Could be part of his problem
Good morning, Astros Fans! Game 6. A shot at another pennant!! Going for 4th straight victory over the Ramgers and 4th straight World Series appearance in a season not shortened by a pandemic!! Wear whatever you need to wear…wash (or don’t wash) whatever you need to wash (or not wash)…eat whatever you need to eat….sit in that chair while you watch. Let’s finish this.
With this Abreu business the MLB has proven that it knows more than science and statistics - correlation IS causation. Guy got hit. Guy also showboated earlier. *wheels turn* Proof of intention to hit. I guess Tuve, Chas and Alvarez need to showboat like the world is ending - then when they take a stray pitch it will be 100% intentional.
