Framber needs his psychologist on standby to come out of the dugout during the game when needed Or better yet, tweak his pitchcom with the voice of his psychologist. "Framber, you want to throw the change up here. Do you remember how throwing a good change up makes you feel? You like throwing that pitch don't you, so why not use it to your advantage? Breathe in and out, count to 5, and I'll be right here when you get out of the inning with your favorite sucker."
Odd stat- Astros are 6-3 this post season and all 3 losses are from JV and Framber. JV/Framber - 2-3 Javier/Urquidy - 4-0
Javier/Urquidy starts --> road starts JV won at home vs MINN when the Twins couldn't set their rotation, and won @Arlington Astros/Framber better solve MMP before the postseason ends.
If Framber Valdez has that ability to throw 8 innings and Ryan Presley for the 9th. The Batters need to Figure Out How to see the ball better, the Batters eye is a problem this year. Darker Green Paint Batting Eye is needed in the Background. The Plants are not being taken care of properly, either sunlight, fertilizer, soil, water. Remove the Plants and just make it into a Darker Green Wall.
This was as close to a whole team win as I have watched in a long long time. All 13 position players and 4 pitchers contributed, not to mention Dusty and Espada making decisions.
1.What Framber do we get today? I would be happy with 4 innings 2 runs and then France for two innings. 2. Can we score runs at home and get to Eovaldi? 3. Screw the Rangers
JV always matches up with the other teams best. Framber needs to figure it out fast if we want to win this whole thing.
I'm feeling fantastic about the win today. I hope Dusty pulls Alvarez, Altuve, and Bregman when the Astros have a big lead. Unlike the Astros, the Rangers actions after the HBP suggests they think it is normal to bean people in the postseason.
The Astros beating the Rangers 9/13 to secure tiebreakers was out of Dusty’s control? The Astros winning 5/6 to end the season to overcome a 2.5 game deficit in the division was out of Dusty’s control? The Astros didn’t roll to a double-digit division title, as they’ve done the past six years - but they did weather several potentially season -changing stretches by the Rangers & Mariners, never falling too far behind & being in position to take advantage of late stumbles. And that’s the primary job of a manager - to lead a team through a long, difficult, unpredictable season. Dusty can be frustrating in the micro (though I truly believe nitpicking line-ups is silly) - but I think he manages the macro very well. He took a team reeling from a potentially franchise-altering scandal, and didn’t just right the ship - he kept the team focused and winning. They’ve lost players, draft picks; guys have gotten older, less healthy… and here they are: one win away from their third pennant in four years (and they were a game 7 away from it being 4/4), a run that is significantly better than Hinch’s. To think ALL that is in spite of Dusty Baker is just flat-out silly.
