First off, this Podcast include the conversation about the Texans but it also it touches on the Rockets and it brings up a very good topic about the Rockets, "Are Sengun and Jabari tough enough?" Actually, I don't think Jabari should be lumped into this conversation, reason being, Jabari is a 3/4, not a 4/5. His game is geared more towards scoring. Not saying shouldn't rebound, nor play good defense BUT shouldnt the center be your inforcer? Hakeem won a title with Horry as the PF.
As a man of too many words, myself, (see my post count) I’ve always respected and admired your succinctness.
I mean what do you expect anyone to think? You randomly categorized Jabari as a 3/4 but with his rebounding and shot blocking it’s a weird conclusion. He’s definitely closer to a 5 than a 3 in 2023. Who’s going to think a frontline of Sengun, Jabari and Brooks is not tough enough? All 3 of those guys fight for everything. Their skills don’t clash in any way. They come in 3 different sizes. Maybe give Sengun more than 3 preseason games to learn defense for the first time in his whole life? Absolutely no one learns defense fast. Brook Lopez went from being a worse defender than Sengun to being a DPOY candidate but it takes time, will and coaching. We have plenty of those.
