To me that seems kind of light given the context of what she did. Undermining faith in our electoral system when she herself knew that the claims were baseless.

I suspect her light sentence was partly the result of the First Offender Act (she had no prior felonies), but I also suspect that her willingness to testify against bigger fish (perhaps including tfg) also lightened her sentence. She also gets to apologize to the people of Georgia. :D

They are running out of bigger fish here - she was the face of this whole effort. If it helps them get Trump, maybe it's worth it, but that's a dicey proposition regardless due to jury/publicity/etc. All it takes is one die-hard Trump fan to force a mistrial endlessly.

The deranged prosecutor is doing pretty good for someone who has no case.

Just like all the lawsuits from J6 that trump lost, they talk a big game out of court but when they actually have to face the music, they fold like a cheap suit. I cant wait to see what spin maga and trump have on this.................

Yes to getting guilty pleas, but $5000 and some community service, and no criminal record if he completes his probation? Not exactly a disincentive for people to try to overthrow 2024.

Both were able to take advantage of Georgia First Offender Act. And both agreed to continue to produce documents and evidence as well as to testify against other defendants. Id say it was a reasonable outcome.

If they can hang a conviction on Trump, they can put this dude up at the Ritz, I don't care.

Absolutely - but that's a big IF. If not, they are basically letting these enablers go. They are placing all their bets on fewer and fewer defendants so it's a "wait and see" more than a "win" so far.

I've always wondered, how do those expensive suits fold that is different from what mine does?
