Jews and Muslims living in peace 100 years ago? There was never peace, always hate and scrimmages...running back to rise of Islam.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_settler_violence

For the record, I was answering a question and not advocating that Hamas is justified or their terrorism was justified. It is also important to note that there are numerous Israeli leaders both religious and political that speak out against the extremist settlers. Even non-extremist leaders within the settlements speak out against it.

However, any serious improvement in the future of Israeli security will involve correcting some of these injustices and ending the two tiered system based solely on ethnicity.

    No.

But whatever is necessary to bring every single Hamas member to justice, and to remove them from power in Gaza.

Egypt and the other Arabic countries could help them by opening the border for civilians, especially women and children. Put pressure on them to do so. And institute strict checks to filter out fighting age males who have ties to Hamas at the border.

Same question as to what any sanctions against Iran, Russia, etc. lead to. The idea is to put pressure on the government.

They didn't only firebomb Dresden. Bonn, my father's and grandparents' hometown was almost completely destroyed, as were many other German cities.

It sounds crazy, but as a German, I believe it had to be done to defeat the Nazis.

I don't think so - Germany was already losing the war and in retreat when most of those bombings happened. In fact, the Nazis used it to rally support, but they were so weak by then that they feel apart anyway.

    Dresden was a war crime.

I fully agree more pressure should be put on Egypt and it sounds like Biden is doing that.
Gaza isn't Russia. There isn't really much of a functional economy or infrastructure there to begin with. Hamas support is at least partly because they people of gaza are hopeless. Starving them isn't going to change that.

I hate to say it but there is no way that the surrounding countries will ever accept refugees at this point. Lebanon's acceptance of Palestinian refugees after 1948 was one of the big drivers for the Lebanese Civil War. There's a certain irony that Hezbollah is constantly picking fights with Israel but Hezbollah's origins date back to fighting between the local Shia population in Southern Lebanon and the PLO/Palestinian refugees from Israel. Hezbollah will continue to hypocritically attack Israel and refuse to ever let another Palestinian refugee cross the border.

Jordan's demographics are permanently altered as a result and they've come close to political instability as well. They've got something like 2.5 million refugees already and no where to put them. Plus a lot of West Bank Palestinians have Jordanian Passports already so there are likely more migrants to come for them over the long run. Egypt on the other hand dealt with terrorism in the Sinai Peninsula for years from organizations linked to Palestinian terrorists. Tourism in the Sinai completely fell apart due to terrorist attacks targeting Israeli tourists and the Sinai has always had some political instability. Frankly, they'll never let any Palestinians near the Sinai at this point. It's an economic death sentence for the region if they do.

The reality is that when any country accepts Palestinian refugees, there's a 99% chance that they'll never be allowed back. This is less a refugee situation and more a permanent resettlement program. And no country is going to sign up for that.

One of the reason that other nations are reluctant to accept is that if terrorists go there and operate from those countries, they could be invaded.
