    The Heat will be closer to whole than they have been but still shorthanded with Josh Richardson, Haywood Highsmith and Jaime Jaquez out. Jimmy Butler did not fly with the team from Miami but could join the Heat in Houston after a dental procedure.

    “It’s a big game for us as far as having everybody available and kind of getting to what we really want to do during the season,” Udoka said. “More specific to the (opposing) team and personnel, where the four games before that were to kind of work on things and see what guys do well and what they don’t do well. This one will be more realistic as far as lineups, rotations and schemes and gameplan.”

    …“A team like San Antonio, a lot of movement and a lot of off-ball slipping, which hurt us,” Udoka said. “Had a good number of clips to show and walk over (on Thursday.)”

    …“Last game before the season, and I think we’re going to play like a normal game,” Şengün said. “I need to make some shots because I don’t feel good on offense. But I think I’m getting better on defense. I need to improve my offense, now.”
