Hoping to see some credible reports soon! The Texans should be buyers given the schedule and their current record. Still expect Jaguars to win division, but 1st place is definitely not out of reach. A wild card spot is more plausible, and I think Nick becomes aggressive if he truly feels this team can make a push. I'm hoping for a WR1 and maybe some help on defense. Not sure who all can be had at a realistic price. Saw that the Colts expressed interest in Jeudy, which feels a little odd but teams are always looking for help now and for the future.
Probably doesn't fit what they're trying to do. At least 4 players in that same boat over there in Carolina. Chinn, Jackson and now Terrace.
He's seeking a trade because there is a dispute over his role. He feels like the Panthers and their lack of a QB is holding him back.....and he's got a decent argument for it.
I'm all about bringing in talent on the cheap...go for it, there's no real downside and you're bound to hit on one or more I'm just curious how a speedburning WR with hands doesn't fit a scheme. Can he not run routes? Can he not read the secondary?
A knock on him since college is that while he has amazing speed, he doesn't always play like it. He needs some route running help and a system that will put him in a position to play to his strengths. He's not a "slam dunk" type of guy, but he's got the raw physical gifts to be a plus WR if he landed in the right situation where he could learn with a high quality QB. I'm not sure how much it would cost to trade for him, but if it's cheap enough, I'd jump on it.
He was very productive when he played with a quality QB (Burrow) in college. I thought he was about on par with Chase and Jefferson. Somehow he's turned into a bust even though he's got speed and hands like Chase, Jefferson. I would trade a 7th for him. If I was Cincy I would give more than that for him.
DB's in the NFL are a LOT better than in college and they'll take advantage of a WR who hesitates, struggles when they get hit at the snap, or runs poor routes. I think he can be salvaged with a better QB and a better WR room to learn from.
He's like their best young player though so not sure he's up for trade. I don't expect Caserio to go swinging for HRs here, just not his style. I think we might make a few small trades for players teams have given up on (which is the Caserio way) and not overpay for a big name like Young or Saquon or whoever. I think those big splash moves for Caserio will come more in FA market where he can have more control over the contract then give up assets for a contract that might later hurt you. Thankfully, NFL teams give up on a lot of good players.
Montrez Sweat would be awesome. He's stayed pretty healthy during his career and gets plenty of sacks.
