He's clearly not feeling it offensively. It was the same in preseason last year he looked pretty meh and ppl went down on Bruno. Defensively i think he took a leap. The thing is he needs to either have a midrange or 3. They know him now and they are double, tripple team everytime he gets the ball and they will keep suffocating him. I liked the fadeaway i want **** like that he needs to have sth more in his bag when he hits the wall. He can't just be a post player he doesn't have the luxury anymore.
Yeah i think he played good enough defense in preseason so far to prove he's at least not a liability on that end. There are so many easy whistles in this game, they practically call for foul on the smallest contact and i don't think 3 out of 5 whistles he got today would be blown in a regular season game so i'm not worried about that. But him rushing every time he gets the ball in his hands and bricking in every ps games so far is a little worrying.
I think Croatia and Dario Saric schooled Turkey, since that game. Maybe he bulked up too much as well.
1-10 FG 0-3 Threes More fouls (6) than points (5). And less than 24 minutes played. Why is racist Silas still oppressing Segun like this? A good coach would let him play through his foul trouble and encourage him to shoot threes.
Alpi hasn't looked himself. Hopefully he adjusts to the new coaching scheme sooner rather than later.
That one baseline spin with a fake half counter spin to throw off the Turkish dude was pretty impressive
We are in big trouble if he is our franchise player, he looks like Scola a very good complimentary player. DD
We are indeed in big trouble if he’s going to shoot 1/10, 1/8 the rest of the season. It’s a good thing we have two years of data that tells us that won’t be the case. You guys really don’t know how to watch basketball. Like Sam Vecenie says, the biggest takeaway from preseason is that Sengun is a much better defender than people thought. He’s going to be able to make layups and hook shots again, breathe.
I agree, I feel better after seeing DD doubling down on him being no better than Scola. That's a guarantee of much greater career success than Alpi could ever have hoped for.
DD’s schtik is coming up with bad takes and then rubbing it in our faces ad nauseum to try to legitimize it. Yes we know for the hundredth time you think he’s Scola and that we might need to trade Jalen if he wants the max. Repeating it over and over…and over and over again isn’t convincing anyone one way or the other. Respect your opinion but can you stfu about it after telling us the first 10 times.
I don't care about his shooting percentage in preseason. But he didn't look comfortable so far on offense. Not shooting, not passing, not dribbling. I am not too worried about him. I think Udoka will change the way Sengun plays the most. We have already seen Sengun trying to initiate from the high post a bunch. Now that also means the rest of the team will have to play a different way, when Sengun has the ball, and I don't think they have done a great job of that either. So I expect a longer adjustment period for Sengun than for guys like Jabari or Green. I do believe in Sengun and hope he makes it work. But I wouldn't be surprised, if he continues to look bad for the first couple of months.
It’s only preseason and new system. Meh I’m not worried about sengun he’s a smart dude he’ll figure it out
A few seasons?? I thought they were trying to win? Plus his contract is due. Time is not on his side.
