We all know that our random chatter doesn't matter DD, so no need to point that out. My opinion versus your opinion doesn't matter in this case. However, I'm just taken back that you actually are questioning whether DV happened based on statement. A deep gash and bruising doesn't require a statement from the victim man. It's an easy observation that can be made. How the hell do you get bruising on your neck and a deep gash from some accident. If KPJ was attempting to protect himself, you don't think he was strong enough to just control her?? He instead had to teach this woman a lesson about trying to abuse??? WTF lol.

That is my point, most people in here didn't do that.

And in the end, now that he is gone, it doesn't really matter.

The most damning stuff I believe was Nook saying he treated employees poorly (Young, cocky and stupid behavior) and that he broke a DJ's laptop over his music playlist (DJ should have filed a complaint).

Those things along with the org enabling him were the worst things for him......if he does get another chance, I hope it is with a disciplinarian coach.....

In my opinion the assistant DA Curzer did right by her instincts.......she also suspected KPJ was dangerous to society.

Whether she went overboard, yeah, but she acted out of good instinct......I doubt Kysre's motivation very much and she was in love with KPJ which obstruct her judgment even more so.

Of course I trust someone who has not known Porter for long over a fling or some GF.

The Depp Heard Australia scene with thrown vodka bottles, chopped fingers, and blood, turds, cocaine, oxys, fecal matters was much worse than this, and people were lying all over.

No, I don't think that at all, and just outlined something I saw similar above that would leave both a gash and deep bruising where I don't believe that it was DV.

So, do I think he committed DV - I would say most likely - yes, but I want to know the details, did she hit him first? For instance, she says it was 10 seconds and he didn't HIT her, I would GUESS that he grabbed her while both were pissed off and it went downhill from there.....in the end, the police should have done their job and found out....but because they made **** up, this will go away.

I think that is a fair assessment of the situation. I could easily see that being true, but the DA making stuff up is illegal....and kills cases even if true,

Why does this matter? Lets speculate that she did hit him first. If he could physically restrain her, is there a reason to do more damage? Do you think she was deserving of further punishment because she tried to hit him?

Not playing that game - not interested. But details/facts matter all of them, and you and I are speculating.

The reality is that organizations will always make exceptions for players they consider to be stars or have the potential to be a star. You simply cannot win in this league without star players. If Stone's gamble had paid off and KPJ had actually managed to pull his head out of his ass the same folks here trashing him would be lining up to praise him. There's an article on ESPN today about Ja Morant that goes into the challenges the Grizzles faced when he went off the rails. One passage struck me because the Rockets faced the same issue here with KPJ:

One league insider said Morant had been told cautionary tales about Steve Francis and Allen Iverson, legendary players whose off-court actions at times distracted from their talent and limited their NBA longevity.

"The message just wasn't getting through," said a former NBA player who said he's also tried to talk to Morant on several occasions. "He just wasn't in a place to hear anything."

Sound familiar? Here's a link to the article. It's a very good read BTW.

Bro, you are the one that speculated about her potentially triggering KPJ based on your friend's experience. I was just following up because I am shocked you went down that path. I know you aren't outright denying that DV is the issue, but you sure as hell are not sure now just because the victim put out a statement. We all know that DV victims usually go down this path, it should not be a surprise to anyone.

Ja Morant is seriously messed in the head, I hope he turns it around because he is so much better than KPJ but I would not totally bet on it either.

    So nope, no sympathies here.

Stone would be a very lucky SOB if this had worked out. KPJ had a documented history of issues. He had a ton of talent, but his talent was not the kind that would change a franchise. Some of us, like myself, wanted the KPJ experiment for a full season. After it failed, the majority of us were off the wagon and ready to call the experiment a failure.

I think the FO just failed to help this kid grow up and instead they coddled and enabled his behavior. The kid needed tough discipline to help him mature, unfortunately that's not happened. I don't know if tough love would had worked with KPJ, but I very much disagree with how we treated this kid like a future superstar.

I disagree, I think he was doing what SIlas asked of him and was developing nicely, his numbers were going up - it was always going to take more than a year.

    This I agree with.

I refuse to call him a kid..... he came here and was already 21 going 22.

You are about to finish your bachelor's degree at that age.

I do not understant why athletes are being called kids and students are just being called students.

The bigger mistake was seeing someone who was a SG/SF and pressing him into the PG role and giving him total reign.

I think the bigger problem was enabling.....not the experiment....we really had no one else to play PG.

Sorry Charlie not for a few more years, but my companies are doing fine....how is your job where you are sporting a name tag holding up?

Try to talk about the subject matter, your obsession with me is irrelevant.
