Brother Max, let us pray the rosary together and pray for a good harvest for the crops today. May they be blessed with much rain and abundance.
I don't know why I'm posting here after my public apology, but as you can see... it's very hard for me to separate the fanatic in me from everything else. I promise I won't be watching the game unless we are up by about a dozen runs today. A one game break will likely do me some good. Hell, if we're down 3-0 , I won't have to worry about a game 5 or 6 anyway most likely. All that said, go Astros. I sincerely hope they win today, I hope they win tomorrow, I hope they win Friday and I hope they win after that as well.
My gut instinct tells me to pack it in. This season is over. I have not felt good about the chemistry on this team for some time now. But, given how unusual this year has been and the fact that it is baseball we are talking about here, you never know. In a year where Framer is supposed to be our ace, he has been our most unvaluable player when we needed him the most. Tucker and Altuve have underperformed when we have expected them to get hot. Our inability to click on offense at home has us in a hole 2-0 by a combined three runs. Maybe we have the the Rangers right where we want them. Overconfident and facing a team that last swept them at home by a combined score of 39-10. I doubt that will happen again but you never know. If we are going to get back in this series and ultimately move on to the WS hitters are going to have to come out of their collective funks and Javier and Urquidy are going to have to pitch like they did last time out against the Twins. We can still win this series but I am not getting my hopes up yet.
My thoughts exactly. The Astros needed a split at home, at least. Now, probabilities are not in their favor. Possible, yes; likely, no.
I was talking to a friend last night who's a Mets fan and he predicts that Scherzer won't be good and the Stros should be able to hit him well.
Obviously this is very tough position to be but it's not impossible. We know for whatever crazy reason the Stros just don't play well at home. Even so games 1 and 2 were very close. We don't know what Scherzer is going to be like and we know that Stros hitters can suddenly get very hot. Also we need to keep some perspective about this team. Two weeks ago we weren't even guaranteed a playoff spot. Going in to the last week of the regular season the Mariners had the inside track on the last playoff spot and the Rangers had the West. Also yes we're down 2-0 but I'm guessing Dodgers, Baltimore, Braves, and several other fan bases would rather be in our position now than where they're at.
If anyone can run off three straight in Arlington we can. I'm hoping they know that as well and start tonight.
We just got are butts kicked in the first 2 games. The bats were a joke in game 1 and Framber was horrible in game 2. We lose tonight and its over
It's as if the Astros don't play in Clutch City... reminds me of going on the road down 0-2 to the Suns...
I'd like this lineup tonight please. Altuve Brantley Alvarez Bregman Abreu Tucker McCormick Diaz Pena Forget L/R... we need to alternate A/B Make it happen Dusty...
Feels like it... we played awful... Outscored by 3 runs total over 2 games. An average performance wins both easily.
