A good comment. JRE also brings professionalism to our Rockets. He should be retained. VO will be traded in the near future. I hope TF won't attach an important asset like Alpi or Tari along with him.
???? The whole point of acquiring VO was to attach valuable assets/player contracts with his contract in a trade.
It means both Tari and Sengün are contributors.....cannot imagine a disgruntled star scenario.... but it might happen.
it’s a full circle. Remember, Stone said that he traded Dipo for nothing, so that they can open playing time for KPJ. Funny how that worked…
The Rockets can't choose when a disgruntled star happens that they want to bid on. This trade was done for the low chance of that happening by the trade deadline as that chance of a getting a disgruntled star via a trade is still greater than getting a star from 2 SRPs.
For sure but Sengün and Tari are the least vocal distractors on this team, always team friendly, always good teammates. It makes less sense to keep Amen, Green, Bari, Whitmore on the team with a new star incoming, guys who need touches. That is not team building.
Great trade for the Rockets. We Def need some more guard help with Bullock playing like ass. Haven't seen Dipo play since he left but it's been a couple years hopefully he is healthy now. JRE is a decent big, can help us with Landale being out. Who gets cut though?
Oladipo won’t even be playing this year. He literally just tore his patella tendon less than 6 months ago. He’s been done. Knees and all
Sengün and Tari appeared to be just examples to me in the post I responded as the word "like" was used before them. I would expect the outgoing vauable contract/pick would be dependent on who the Rockets are trying to get. If it is Embiid....Sengun is gone. Personally, I would expect Amen, Tari, and Bari are the least likely to be traded as they likely can fit with about any star if the Rockets are lucky enough to be able to trade VO.
I came here to ask about him. I knew he was done being a real player, but I didn't know if we'd at least get his body to throw out there every now and then. I guess not though. I don't know much anything JRE, but his stats are about as meh as it gets. So, whatever. Hooray for saving some money.
And above all, the Rockets are not willing to build around Alperen, that is the main truth. Embiid is a bad trade long term IMHO, I think by the time, he will be injury prone. I have not seen Embiid making other players much better, he is a Numbers guy and less efficient during the Playoffs.
