Yea, they are the true winner of this game, pop took out their defensive gangster in late third qrt.
I feel so sure, if pop had allowed wemby into the game, we would've looked uglier, simply bc wemby would've boxed out bari n goon, refused many attacks in paint from green, holiday n whitmore.

 

Still can't believe Refs blew this nasty slam dunk as an offensive foul. MURDER!

Not sure why most of y'all don't recognize that Collins being the primary scorer taking hook shots from 5 feet out is a win schematically. That's a recipe for a win in a regular season game.

Collins not being forced to drive was the only schematic mistake imo. Can't let him get confidence shooting 3s. That is a recipe for a L during the regular season.

I asked the same question while watching…but dunno why i was thinking if tari'd played, Ime would've got one much needed piece to engineer his different lineups.

 

He looked hadn't slept well for days, it seems his feet unbelievable heavy…he gotta change another gf who can cook well n allow him to have sound sleep at night.

Ime has to give Bullock the minutes in the pre-season and early part of this year to see if he deserves rotation minutes, same with Cam, same with the other role playing vets. So far, Bullock has sucked, Green was so-so and was definitely slow, Brooks needs to step it up on defense, but I think he is bored in the pre-season. Holiday looked like trash until this last game. I healthy Jock hasn’t played so we have no idea who we have at backup center. What we do know after 3 pre-season games, is that FVV is an improvement over KPJ on defense and has been decent on offense, Amen is going to be a franchise player, and Tari is going to continue to be an awesome player off the bench.

We also know we are going to better in transition offense and defense. Our biggest questions are going to be shooting and how fast we can pick up Ime’s half-court defense and will it be soon enough to give us a chance for the play-in. Unlike Apache, I think you can win with sub-par 3-pt shooting, but it can’t be horrendous like it has been to start the pre-season.

 

Why are player comps a bad idea? I don't see the drawback. Projecting a player's growth is going to be difficult no matter what method you use. A comp just gives an idea of their current play style, it doesn't necessarily need to set a long-term ceiling for floor for them. If we looked at the 2019 NBA draft and I said Zion Williamson played more like Charles Barkley than Dirk, it doesn't mean he'll be as good as either or that he can't change his game in the future.

Personally, I think your Lonzo ball comparison for Amen is on point. Amen is more athletic, but like Lonzo he doesn't look like an iso scorer or a pure orchestrator of the offense yet.

 

Btw FVV is the man! Watch how often he gets his hand on the ball, forces a bad play, steals it and goes after it. He’s like a taller Bogues out there.

 

Dayron Sharpe on the nets looks like he has some potential. Anyone have thoughts on him?
