Boomer Esiason : "They say he is a rookie. But he is not a rookie, folks."

Boomer disliked Rasputin as much as most of us did and was very critical, warranted, on what Cal was doing prior to that franchise changing draft.
Awesome seeing the old heads being onboard.

@cmoak1982 Since we all have moved on from our past.

My buddies(from Nola) this morning were telling me how frustrating it was to watch the Saints defense have issues with getting CJ on the ground.

We got an elusive one back there.

He seems to be more athletic than what is perceived.

In the pocket he is good at moving. Within structure he’s great.
Throwing on the run has been better than he showed in college but still wouldn’t call it a strength.
He keeps working on the off platform stuff and he could be the man. Even more so than he is now

"Houston is such a different team than we ever imagined them being. Congrats to all of them."

Would love to see him come out with that 70% completion percentage game. Where everything seems to click. Panthers are yet another team that’s good vs the pass so not sure if we’ll see that against them but Stroud is a student of the game. I’m sure he’s doing a lot of studying during the bye and seeing what’s he’s doing wrong or what he could do better. Hopefully he can end the year with 66-68 percent completion percentage.

I don't give a care about CJ's comp% when his YPA is 4th in the NFL. Against the Steelers, he was only 16/30, but his YPA was a crazy 10.2 (on 306 total yards).

CJ is very accurate. What really killed his comp% against the Saints was their pass rush causing him to throw several balls away to avoid a sack.

That’s fine. Y’all don’t have to care about it lol I would like to see a higher completion percentage. We could be seeing more touchdowns instead of field goals.

This isn't Madden lol. I need to find the stat, but they have adjusted completion percentage which takes in effect of ones they purposely throw away/wide receiver drops. He was top 3 in the league.

Would you rather he have 3 interceptions and a 63% completion percentage? I mean this is a weird take.

Please find the stat. You acting like I’m a Stroud hater when I wanted him more than anyone on the board.

I mean nitpicking about completion percentage without context makes you sound like you haven’t watched a game yet if I’m being honest.

Stroud missed a few throws last game and against the Falcons. This happens with all QB's. I cant wait until they get Stroud weapons like the 49ers/Dolphins have. That's when everybody's going to really see Stroud shine.
