what specifically is Pierce bad at that makes him not a good fit for the scheme?

Good to see the defense get multiple stops to close out the game after last week.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves... a la 49ers.

Panthers gave Dolphins a run.... for awhile. I think they see us as their best chance for their first win.

Zone blocking is designed for guys that are good at picking their own hole, and not looking at where the play was designed....Pierce is a downhill runner - he is getting their but he is probably not a perfect back for zone blocking - we need a guy that is patient and then attacks.....

    See y’all on ESPN tomorrow.
If you watched today. You saw how big a difference between singletary and Pierce in regards to skill.

He looked gimpy after the sneak after the sack and after the qb sneak. Texans have to get rid of the qb sneak. Or have a designated QB sneak guy. Mills neck can get you 3 yards.

Great Win, its now FUN to watch this team and I am rooting my ass off which I haven't done for a few years. Was it perfect, hell no but it was fun and this team does not quit, we need a few more pieces but I think this is a great start. Just once, I would like to see everyone healthy and see what we actually have

Yes. Said as much. My post was about not running the qb sneak healthy let alone when Stroud is already banged up. Stroud shook off whatever the discomfort was after the sack and carried on as if nothing the next possession. After the 1st qb sneak and during the jersey swap with Olave he was walking gingerly, clearly aggravated it or needed more tape.

My question to that would be, what QB has Jeudy played with since 2020? And don't you think playing with CJ would make him better? It has for Nico

This! Some are just natural at it. You clearly could see Pierce forcing himself to be patient out there.
His vision is fine getting to second and third level defenders. It's that patience that is key.
He is still DP and can get 1,200 sleeping in a power scheme but this zone is a different manimal.
Definitely trying to make it work:

Did anyone catch that one pistol formation? It was an incomplete pass with a defensive holding that was not called. Could have been a chunk play.

oops trying to quote multiple posts is hard y'all.
