It isn’t nonsense- Netanyahu has supported and helped Hamas to ensure there wouldn’t be a unified Gaza and WestBank - to avoid a Palestinian state and to weaken Abbas. Even if true, it's irrelevant. If something new were to pop up now that's not Hamas, if I'm Bibi, I support it, hoping it's less bad than Hamas. I guess he thought Hamas would be less bad than PLO and Fatah. So what.

You should do some research on bush's support for the PLO during the election. They spent millions on fake advertising for the PLO and set up fake community drives and all sorts of theatre. Condoleezza rice mocked Hamas and thought the PLO had it in the bag. When the israelis were urging Bush to ban Hamas from the elections the State department laughed and thought they had it in the bag. because of their CIA operation. You know how George Lincoln Rockwell had friendly exchanges with Black Separatists and supported and cheered them? He like the Black Separatists believed that White and Black people couldn't live together. He supported statehood somewhere in Africa for African Americans to move to. Same case here. The right supports Israel because they don't see Jews as American or European. They see them as Jewish only and that means they belong somewhere else, not here in the US.

So what? When the PLO became the PA they were the internationally recognized leaders of the Palestinians. They were the group that signed the Oslo accord and recognized Israel. That Netanyahu and others decided to Prop up Hamas a group that continues to this day to call for the total destruction of Israel to counter a group that recognized Israel Was a total betrayal of what Rabin believed in.
It's so sad. The PLO was an actual liberation movement with sincere goals to liberate its people. Hamas is a death cult compared to the PLO. You can't call Hamas a liberation group.
