Commentator would be even better than as a coach. Have a three man team like those bozos at ESPN did with JVG.

I would send Ryan Hollins packing if JVG would agree to be full time color guy. I just don't see JVG wanting to work that much on tv,

I totally disagree with everyone who thinks that JVG is a Zombie (gif pun intended) and incapable of being a good coach in todays NBA!!!

(P.S) I'd never noticed Adam Silvers son behind/right of JVG...o_O

    JVG!! JVG!!! JVG!!!

President of Basketball of Operations would be an amazing role for him here. I wonder if Tilly would offer it.

JVG in any assistant coach type role is code for future head coach in waiting. Any coaching staff that hires JVG is very likely hiring their own replacement, unless they meet hefty expectations like win a finals or be super elite and have a considerable positive season.

So the Maverick’s trying to lure JVG as an assistant coach is just for getting his feet wet, so he can slide back into the head coaching job in a year or two. Whether it’s for the Mav’s or another team, but I think it’a going to be for the Maverick.

Ferntits is treating us like the people of Walmart with Hollins rather than like the people of Aspen with JVG in the color seat. We're being fed cheap nachos when we want Meat & Cheese.

I've not tolerated an entire game broadcast in the last couple years, and I've developed an intense food allergy to barbecue chicken.

    Broadcast booth for JVG!

Ferntits dropped the ball again. JVG as Prez of BB Operations would have bolstered our credibility and helped culture.

I have to wonder if Jeff would have taken a similar position with the Rockets had it been offered. He lives in Houston with his family, but he has to balance Stone as GM and, arguably worse, Fertitta as the owner.

This very well might have gotten Van Gundy on board in Houston. I wish.

Does that mean he won't be a commentator anymore?

He's good at boiling down what appears to be a complex problem and creating a seemingly simple solution. The Rockets had that problem last year. But we have yet to determine if we still have that same issue under coach and a new point. It's too early in our new reign of terror for a senior consultant. For Boston, I don't think they have complex problems, they just need additional talent to push up and over. They added some. It's probably not enough to take out Jokic.

Van Gundy in the upper brass at Houston, seems like a contentious situation.

Fertitta: We need to find another KPJ. I loved that kid.

Van Gundy: With all due respect Tilman that was a signing that never should have happened with his history.

Fertitta: Will you shut up and listen? This kid was a lot of fun. He made me laugh.

Van Gundy: No YOU shut up and listen. He was a team cancer who didn't respect his coaches and I would have perma-benched his disrespectful little butt the first time he got out of line. Now he's got 15 million dollars of your money and never going to step foot in here again.

Fertitta: Now YOU Shut Up And Listen!

Van Gundy: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!

Fertitta: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!

Van Gundy: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!!

Fertitta: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!

Van Gundy: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fertitta: YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And so on until the end of time. Probably best he didn't sign here.

Since he didn't have a job as a commentator and now he has a job as a senior consultant, I would say Yes.
