I don’t think it changes things, I would still support some some sort invasion into Gaza (a response was expected given what hammas did) which is why it’s troublesome that the IDF and bibi who is a known pos would deliberate lie. they were caught lying about killing that journalist a year or so back , using children for target practice so it’s weird they would need to confabulate that given the world is largely on their side. this current govt in Israel (that the people of Israel themselves were protesting a couple of months ago) needs to be drained. I really don't think it is a lie. When you throw grenades into residences, fire rpg's at homes and spray families with rapid machine gun fire, chances are babies tiny head will be blown off. Whether they can verify that it was chopped off with a machete or a scythe who knows? Who cares?

I think it is more pragmatic than that - in war, there are civilian casualties, while everyone is against that, it is inevitable, and most of us here don't really have connections to Israel or Palastine - so there is a cognitive disconnect. I mentioned it before but we firebombed Dresden, and nuked Hiroshima - children died there too - but the argument would be, that is how you win a war, you kill so many of the other side they lose their will to fight. Is it civilized? No, of course not.....War is hell. But you can't let people come in and murder your citizens at a music festival and kidnap a bunch of foreign nationals and hope you can negotiate your way out - that isn't what countries do, they go in and kill and kill and kill until they get all of the people that were involved.....the price of winning war, is usually steeped in civilian deaths. Watching the situation unfold currently u can not b telling me that Israel is doing it best to do that by commiting multitude of war crimes upon the innocent palestine people.
