I like Jalen and was excited as hell when we drafted him. Don’t even mind the painted nails. That’s just his style. I just don’t see that dog in him. If he had the confidence and swagger Jabari has played with the past two games I wouldn’t complain but I just don’t see him as a franchise guy or a capable leader of this team like I do Amen, Jabari, or even Sengun Whitemore already has the vibe I’ve been waiting 2 years to see from Jalen. I would rather trade Jalen then give him a max and be stuck with the contract if that boy don’t get his sh*t together I’d personally trade him for the other twin just for the fun of it and I at least know Ausar will play defense
I hope Ime can pull a lot more from Jabari because at least Jalen reached the point where his team is worse without him unlike Jabari: https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/player/4865/onoff#tab-team_efficiency https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/player/5092/onoff#tab-team_efficiency
What does "the dog" look like? Like can you explain it in on court play terms than these platitudes. What has Cam shown you that Green hasn't specifically? Lol don't say you like Jalen. That's absurd. You have to use vague platitudes to say a dude who's played summer league games and 2 preseason games has shown more than a dude who's top 6 in NBA history in 30 pt games before turning 21.
We aren't even predicted to be in the playoffs, so I'm not sure what we are even losing. But if we are talking about this season's record and the potential loss of one of these guys to an injury, I think it's between Alpi and Jabri. Not because they are the best of the bunch, but because the Houston Rockets have a pretty thin roster at the C and PF positions.
Yeah everybody has a cute stat now for themselves. You know what I mean. I just don’t get the mamba vibe from him. Nothing Kobe Bryant about him. I get a Harden vibe. Gonna get the accolades if given free reign but not the leader who is going to win it for you. Really not trying to bash him. He just has to show me something before I give him a super max over Amen, Jabari, Sengun, Whitemore which was the question of this thread. Jalen is the one I’d personally let go of
If Jalen Green is like James Harden then we are set lol. James Harden the former league mvp and 6 time all NBA first team guy? That guy? Any player that is part of this core having a Hard be like career would be absolutely amazing.
Based upon personality only, here are the ones I think we keep....in order. 1. Jabari 2. Sengun 3. Amen 4. Cam We might keep others, but I think the rest are looking interchangeable.....and may bring better trade results, I would not at this point pay Jalen Green Max money - he isn't worth it.....maybe at the end of the year he will be.....and will move up. DD
Smith and Whitmore are the future, Tari and Amen have high floors because of their defense Not sure if Green or Sengun will ever be starter-quality players I don't know anything about anything but I can't let you guys be the only ones giving baseless hot takes.
When I originally made this thread, I was highlighting the improvements of Jabari and how his game has developed but some people keep mentioning Alpi and Green with Jabari. As if now, to me its clear Jabari is in a teir by himself, then Green, then Amen, then Sengun. Im not discounting Sengun's value, I love his passing but outside of that, he does not have a premiere trait. He's not a good score, a great rebounder, nor a great defender. And as far as center rankings in the West, I would put him at the bottom. Behind the Lakers, Portland, S.A, OKC, Minn, N.O, Mem, Suns, Kings and Denver. On par with GS, Dal and Utah

You think all that while @AroundTheWorld stated this summer he would not even trade Sengun for Victor W. I dunno what to believe here!
I have no clue why Jabari would deserve to be in a tier by himself. It definitely isn't based on production on a NBA court when teams try. Jalen's gravity and Sengun's gravity in the paint is literally what gives Jabari his easy buckets. Like for example.llw Jabari's first bucket of last game after a Iverson cut by Green and Jabari's defender just left him and doubled Green as he cut to the rim. That's a type of gravity Jabari doesn't have.
I remember asking him if he would trade and he said no. I respect his opinion though as there is precedent with how well Jokic has done. Personally, though I would trade him for Victor a million out of a million times.
