This is what the media have been blind to. It's as if they've suddenly forgotten all the global acts of terrorism from unrelated muslim extremist groups that followed 9/11. It's not just Israel v Hamas. Big picture, a lot of normal Muslims will see this (Media from 2021) which may also soften the stance on terrorist groups. Israel's heavy handed actions have only helped Hamas/Iran/Putin seed future disruption. The images of destruction in Gaza and the death toll especially of children... The rest of the world loses here in both humanity and safety.
Just throwing out some random ideas as to why... 1- Ending the Palestinian conflict status quo, where the world has 'accepted' it, and Saudi Arabia was in talks to normalize relations. That's now off the table. 2- Freeing their prisoners. Hamas has stated that they will now be able to get all prisoners released (there are 5,000+ prisoners). In the past, Israel released 1,027 prisoners in exchange for one Israeli soldier. They also captured hostages from multiple nationalities, which they can use as bargaining chips. (So no, they won't just execute them or place them somewhere to be bombed). 3- Osama bin Laden's strategy - a war of attrition, bleeding resources

As I said earlier, the music festival that Hamas attacked was an international gathering and I have great confidence that many of them were supportive of the Palestinian cause. This wasn't just evil, it was DUMB.

I don't know the theory but it's common knowledge that Iran provides support to Hamas and has done so for many years.
