Yes - I think they have a lot of incentive to turn them in right now

Yes, war is hard, and no one wants to go all out to win it, which would be a horrible thing......I don't have the answers but I know Hamas must be destroyed.

They have almost no incentive to turn them in right now. The won't be given anything promising in return.

This will have to play out.......and then they can figure that out.

Playing this out in a way that causes more civilian deaths will only result in a less secure Israel down the road. A destroyed Hamas also results in less incentive for Israel to make the compromises it will have to make.

I agree that Hamas believes their lives don't matter

So you are pro Hamas as well as @fchowd0311 - everybody knows that you don't have to be that clear

What you are affectively saying if you don't want Hamas destroyed- this is essentially a pro Hamas position

What the hell are you talking about? Don't be simple-mined. I believe Hamas is a terrorist organization and needs to be eliminated.

I even offered some ways that might help to eliminate them with fewer civilian casualties.

I’m pro human being. That pits me against Hamas and Israel shelling children. Both of those outcomes suck. Dead kids is an outcome I’d like to avoid, to be quite honest.

Moreover, I’m very concerned that there are 12 year old Palestinians today that will grow up to be terrorists because Hamas is the only way they have food or water right now, if they do at all. That doesn’t lend itself to stability or peace. It works against you in the long term…and so it goes and the cycle keeps cycling fueled by hate….so decades after you and I are gone from the world, there’s more dead kids; the outcome I’d like to avoid.

This is what happens when a country elects a crazy racist leadership, and the people always pay the price.

You need to do some reading about how hamas came into power and bush role in it. You sound very dumb no offense

Look I know that Palestinian people by and large just want to live their lives and raise their kids in a safe and healthy environment and they deserve that.

But it is incredibly tone deaf to be celebrating right now.....

However, Israel has every right to root out HAMAS after the horrible attack.

The only way this gets better would be for the people to work with Israel and root out HAMAS......which is unlikely......or we could remove the stupidity of religion all together - also not going to happen.

I agree. However, I have a hard time getting on my high horse about Israel's air campaign considering what we did to Raqqa. Why should they be held to a higher standard? Especially when Isis didn't hit our homeland like Israel just went through.

I've been avoiding consuming images, existing and to come, as they compel you to react and disregard any sense of reason or realistic solution. I guess one could donate to causes if they feel limited to remarks on an online forum.

This issue is not new and we'll need a miracle to see lasting peace for both sides.

Bush allowed hamas on the ballot because he thought hamas wouldn't win even though Israel pressured usa to remove them bcz they were literally on the terrorist watch list at the time.

Then bush spent millions of dollars on the election when he could've just banned hamas all together.

Who exactly is to blame here?

Yes, that has happened. We know that they will need to choose new leadership. Let them start taking that responsibility now, by giving them sufficient incentive to take the lead in getting rid of Hamas.

The Israelis pulled out of Gaza - they have no presence there, HAMAS could release it's hostages, but IMHO Israel and the rest of the world needs to hunt down and kill anyone associated with it.

The only way this ever gets better is if the Palestinians themselves embrace a relationship with Israel.
