Agreed. Those NL teams signed the wrong MVP candidates. Sounds like what needs changing is those teams need to evaluate the guys they sign differently. Maybe fire the guy who signed them would help?
Just give the top 2 seeds the choice of bye weeks or opponents next year. Then it's their choice to not play a week, which they all would take.
Personally, that’s a bad way to approach being a baseball fan. With 162 game season and the crapshoot that is the playoffs, baseball is much more about the journey than any other sport.
Jung over Bregman? Hahahahaha Try to justify that one. Alex had his typical up and down season but the numbers were there over 162. Offense: Alex 122 OPS+, 125 wRC+ Jung: 109 OPS+, 110 wRC+ K% / BB%: Alex: 12.0%, 12.7% Jung: 29.3%, 5.8% Defense: Alex:5 defensive runs saved. Jung: 0 defensive runs saved. Availability Alex: 0 days, 0 games not available. Jung: 41 days, 38 games injured.
I hope Breg sees it. He's exactly the type of player that uses stuff like this to get an extra boost. this first time kid over me? ok
The “analysis” here is questionable at best. I love Altuve, but Siemen had a monster season and is a much better defender. I know Evan Carter has been hot, but picking him over a combination of Alvarez/Brantley is ridiculous. Garcia is an All Star, but Tucker’s OPS+ and WAR were 20% better and he’s a better defender.
monster season for Siemen? he's actually had better in toronto/oak I'm definitely taking Tuve over him
This is ridiculous. Astros clearly better: 1B, 3B, RF, CF, DH, bench, bullpen Push: 2B, LF, SP Rangers clearly better: SS, C The Astros might not win this series, but it won’t be because the Rangers are the more talented team.
Look...I know he's trying to look partial by stretching, and trying hard to pick some Rangers. The only advantage Rangers have over Astros are at SS and C. That's it.
