Never mind on cole... he voted against the certification of the Biden election. Voted against the bipartisan commission to investigate January 6 insurrection. And... is 74 years old.

I have no problem if the Dems help if they can agree to a fair agreement to not shut the government down and add in Tuberville stopping his faux rage about the military and let the promotions go through. I don't need much as the optics would not be good, do it for the good of Americans and for GOD`s sake work on some friggin legislation. Let's work on the border issues and show the country that moderates on both sides can actually get something done and not sit around all day moaning and complaining about every friggin thing

It'd be a big deal for a Republican to make a deal with the democratic caucus. But, it is at least a stunt you could do to force the hardliners to compromise - as in, 'i have a proposed deal to get enough Dem votes to be Speaker. Either endorse a moderate republican or I'll make the deal with the devil.'

 

Hopefully, that means it’s time for House Republicans to cross over and seek Democrat help.

 

when the party's entire existence has become devoid of any real policies beyond trolling on Twitter, any desire to actually help people or make anything better, to consider anyone other than extremists and grifters and any vision for the country beyond pandering to the 'majority' or the religious right's narrow view of society, it shouldn't be all that surprising that they are a dumpster fire incapable of actual governing or representation when they do have any sort of control.

Texas' tumbling down the rankings in education, health, etc. should have made that clear already

 

Republicans can't even work together to figure out their own party's leader and they have the audacity to btch and moan on how dems want to run things?

They will not be happy until Gym Jordan is the speaker, if the extremes won't compromise who will blink first......if the moderates cave into the extreme right the gop will be officially dead on arrival
