2021 Braves won 88 games. Nobody remembers that because they won the whole ****ing thing. only in baseball can a rinky dink 19 game (max) tournament make people forget 162 other games.
These stros are already a dynasty. They’re still doing it so that’s why it’s not regarded as so because they’re not done yet. This run is absolutely something that won’t be duplicated for a very long time if ever again.
this why Baseball has been so wild to watch. I was a baseball hater, but when you sit here and watch the wackiness/up and downs of this sport you have to love it (and hate it, lol). I personally don't mind the knee jerk reactions. The craziness of this sport warrants crazy reactions, especially because of what you mentioned: The Best teams dont win all the time in Baseball.

That was just 2 years ago, and we’re like, “ man this never happens!” The 1990 Reds sweeping one of the greatest teams in my lifetime (the Bash Brothers A’s) taught me pretty early about playoff baseball and sample sizes. Idk. But I’m not about to discount the opinion of Carlos Correa about the value of a baseball player because I can do long division. I was good enough to play in high school and that was it for me.
Its cruel that these short sample sizes literally define success/failure of a season… but when you’re on the right side of it, and doing things unprecedented in the 100+ year history of this game with this format… you really have to just take a step back and realize that this is as special as it gets. It doens’t get much better than this in any sport.
