I understand your frustration but give him credit that he's coming up HUGE when it matters most. The postseason!!
Yeah, that's why Maldy's pitcher ERA results are better than Diaz....... Oh wait That said, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him back next season for 40 GP.
He didn't just suck most of the year he looked like a pitcher hitting. I'm man enough to eat a giant plate of crow. Let's go Jose abreu! He's too sexy for his shirt!!
I'd like to thank the Astros for getting their heads out of their September asses, winning the division and advancing to the LCS. For without that I may never have reached 10k likes
Except it absolutely is and that’s baseball. Does anyone really think the Phillies are better than the Braves? Or the Diamondbacks better than the Dodgers? Of course not. But more than any other sport, the lesser team wins in smaller sample sizes in baseball. It’s why they play 162 games. It’s why they’ve played 160 or 162 forever. The best team loses to the worst team a lot in baseball. Far more than in the NBA or NFL. So they even that out by playing a **** ton of games. This is absolutely that same team. The same way our opponent in the ALCS is the same team that **** the bed down the stretch and then just swept the best team in the AL. This is why it’s crazy to me to see people lose their minds and label guys who just won a WS less than12 months prior quitters and losers because of a regular season series.
That actually did happen. It was a friend of mine who was getting pretty pissed when I kept on talking how Pressley wasn’t that good while he was a twin.
So which version of the Rangers are we gonna get? The one we slapped around last month, or the one that's on a roll in the playoffs?
One of these years Correa, Springer, Cole and AJ Hinch are going to team up to form a super Astros-killer team.
CF not built for the regular season. But now, with all this post season success, this is setting a new standard of expectation that frankly is unprecedented in all sports, let alone baseball. In the crapshoot that is the MLB playoffs… even moreso now with extra wild card rounds and division rounds… the Astros have yet to have a bad roll in 7 straight years. Not having a fluke loss in the first round all these years is actually more impressive (to me) than the 2 World Series wins. (Yes, I said it)
