IF the Astros advance, we need to beat down these smug ass Rangers

I'm not sure how long Urquidy would go but I would think at least 3 and then France for 3 would be interesting.

We talked a lot of smack to the Rangers. If we advance, we better back that up.

We've been backing it up for 6 years now. They are the ones that need to back it up.

Gray falls into that player group that Luhnow talked about. He has had a very good career, an underrated career. However, when the lights are the brightest and he is playing the absolute best - his stuff just isn’t good enough. We saw it when he was with the Yankees and facing a heavy dose of the AL East… he was very mediocre.

“Stuff” in the playoffs matters beyond the raw regular season numbers. That stuff can be movement, location, velocity…. Doesn’t matter but the ability to dominate translates in 2023…

How does the Rangers' pitching look compared to ours?

I think I saw somewhere that he changed his swing some.
Either way I like singles and doubles hitting pena over strikeout pena

We'll never hear the end of it if we lose.
-Will make sure not to party too hard
-Might have won the silver boot and division, but we win what matters
-the plan was to lose the division on purpose to give you guys home field where you struggled this year

But at the same time I was nervous against the Yankees last year and it ended up in a sweep. Also the Phillies bats were on fire last year and they executed a plan and won so yeah.

I wonder if this long break will be a bad thing for them although if Houston wins tomorrow, break will be long as well.

He is criminally under-rated… I have heard whispers of Chapman possibly replacing him. Chapman is a hell of a glove, but that would be a mistake.

He would be a star in NYC with his personality and how he plays… he is the most criminally underrated 3rd baseman since Craig Nettles was winning titles with the Yankees in the 70’s.

Gray pitched very well against the Jays in the Wild Card series. The Stros had a better game
    Plan agains him.

I’ve learned during this run to not fear any team as no one in that ****ing clubhouse does so why as a fan should I?

Looks like Scherzer will potentially be back. When he's healthy we have trouble but his last start, Houston embarrassed him. Was he already hurt? He hasn't pitched in awhile. Will he be rusty?
Gray is on track to be back as well but I think Houston's been decent against him.
    Nathan Eovaldi
    Jordan Montgomery is good.

    Bullpen no good

Starters close to being even. Astros bullpen probably better
