ATW seems like a dude who is going to really struggle with AI generated video content in the future to fabricate a narrative. Because his level of verification of information is probably just seeing if the X handle has a blue checkmark and therefore is in his tribe and if so the information is then verified for his standards.

It would be hilarious and seriously sad if the one thing he's actually telling the truth about is that he really is a CEO of a multinational organization.

That is the most credible claim he has said about himself honestly. CEOs are horrible at spreading accurate information to the public and are most of the time privileged people who do better telling others to do stuff rather than be creative and make something themselves.

I mean it does show his headspace that he'd rather impersonate a CEO rather than some research scientist, design engineer, fighter pilot or something actually cool. He has a high opinion of corporate management that he wabts to emulate them. It's pathetic but funny.

Maybe he chose CEO because they don't have any verifiable technical skills you can quiz them on unlike if you are a naval fighter pilot or something cool.

I know ATW IRL - and he is 100% telling the truth about him being a CEO of a company that is multinational.

Nah - both sides would like nothing more than to wipe the other side off the map and that is why this is an enduring problem.

There are some Israeli's and some Palestinians that are moderate - but not many.

The vitriol is terrible on both sides.

In a situation where you should look at both side of the conflict, most Americans and folks on here just view it from the Israel viewpoint where folks are just minding their own business and suddenly got attacked by terrorist for no reason whatsoever.

One side always gets justification for "self-defense" while one side gets repeatedly ignored by the injustice inflicted upon them until they snap.

It's quiet interesting that in the Israel vs palestine conflict that the death toll is always dramatically different between the two yet we only have folks on here triggered about Israel's death count. Quite stupid if u think the palestine death count is high because they are all terrorists.

Both side truly share part of the blame for this conflict to keep happening.

Some of us aren’t deplorable, but rather impolite at times. Usually when being impolite seems called for.

I spent at least a couple of years attempting to increase the civility here. Some likely remember it. Then I gave up.
An example below and something I posted many times at the end of every post here in the basement:

I think there are actually many on both sides who are willing to compromise and accept the existence of the other and even live together. The problem is that extremists drive the narrative. Things like this weekend along with stories of Palestinians being starved and bombed fuel fear of the other side and empower extremists.

Frankly we see this in many other situations around the World.

Part of this is that for most Americans there is much more contact with Israelis given that many American Jews have ties with Israel. Israel also is far more westernized and democratic than the Palestinians. For most Americans there is little contact with Palestinians and Palestinian culture isn't as westernized as Israel.

In that sense there is a natural sympathy among the West towards Israel over the Palestinians.

Winning a war means killing so many of the other group that they quit.......negotiated ends to wars rarely last.

    This.

I don't like Hamas, nor do I support terrorism or murder - but I also do not support genocide or purposeful subrogation.

You cannot treat a group of people like the Israeli's treat the Palestinians and not expect there to be organizations made for the purpose of destroying Israel.

We say the same thing with the IRA in Ireland, had South Africa continued to be apartheid, we would have seen massive underground movements that would use violence to push their agenda.

This is sadly going to end with either the Israeli completely filling the West Bank and Gaza Strip with Jewish "settlers" and the Palestinians all dead or pushed into neighboring countries - which will not want them, but may take them if payed.

It is amazing how similar this is to Germany and Western Europe between 1885 and 1930.

To be clear - I am not defending the state of Palestine, there are barbarians and terrible racists there - some of the people there are monsters as well. However, when you marginalize groups economically and politically and socially - that is what happens.

So, either the world agrees to take the remaining 6 million Arab Palestinians or they will be slowly choked out and forces out or killed.

Both sides feel backed into a corner, and threatened. Especially the Palestinians who literally are backed into a corner, and surrounded by walls. It's a breeding ground for extremist recruitment just as a survival coping mechanism. The Israelis also have a history of and the reality of being surrounded by those who do not recognize their right to their home, and in part existence as a nation.

In a perfect world, with a perfect UN type of global peacemaking entity, the Palestinians would be relocated to a lush land that hasn't been settled, and they could make their own homeland free from walls, barb wires, and overbearing security.

But the world isn't perfect, and the world has yet to convince Israel to just give up half of their country in a 2 state solution. Mostly because Israel doesn't trust them as neighbors even if they did do a 2 state deal. Kind of like how Ukraine wouldn't trust Putin in a deal that gives him the Donbas in exchange for long term peace.

If the history of humanity at least since 1700 BC is a reference point, it seems likely to me that Israel wipes out Gaza sooner or later, and the Palestinians will end up dispersed around the world. I'm hoping for a 2 state solution where over time tensions drop and it can be like US and Mexico eventually (which... might not even be the best example with the way things are going), but I'm not hopeful.
