My wife said same thing. I just can’t bring myself to do it lol. I don’t understand why we need a 3pm game when only 2 teams are playing.
Everything I'm hearing even from Houston talking heads is how much of an impact the fans are going to be today. Local Minnesota media is already telling people going to the game to get loud and waive their Homer Hankies. At this point the Twins feel they have all the momentum.
So the Twins fans are going to bother the Astros when Dodger fans, Red Sox fans, Yankee fans, and Phillies fans didn't? The Minnesota media and Twins people are grasping and straws and trying to create a narrative. They are praying. It's about to get ugly for them.
LOL. Twins fans are going to be loud because October baseball is so new to them. MMP isn't as loud because October baseball has been the norm for almost a decade now. My kids are in the 6th grade and, as far as they know, the Astros have made the playoffs every year of their existence. Philly was the loudest park I've ever heard in the WS last year. We went 2-1 there.
I was thinking it was just MN media and Twins people but as I'm passing time I've been listening to various sports talking heads and even some of the Houston ones are saying the same thing. I'm listening to an interview with two Twins players and they are saying the Target Field crowd made a difference in the WC round. They are also saying they were surprised how quiet the MMP crowd was. Anyway I don't think the Stros players are going to be rattled by it. The Twins though are going to feed off of it. This is why I think a Stros lead is very important.
Twins fans aren't as mean as Philly or Yankees fans. IN fact Minnesota fans complained bitterly a few years ago about Philly fans when the Vikings played in Philadelphia in the playoffs. This fan base though is very very hungry for post season success. Most Minnesota pro teams have had very little playoff success and this state is very pumped up by the Twins.
This is year 7 consecutively. Its just another day at the office for the team and the fans. Add in a bad showing the second game and the fact that Minny fans havent had this in over 20 years.
I was at MMP for both games. It was pretty well sold out and the crowd was pretty good. I mean, in game 2 we were getting beaten badly a lot of the game and had no real rallies, so it's tough for the crowd to get too into it. Also, yea, we've been deep in the post-season every year since 2017... at some level the shine does wear off a bit. Your first ALDS in 20 years? You're super pumped... your 7th consecutive ALDS after multiple ALCS's and WS's... its not the same.
We talkin about ‘crowd-noise’….not a game, not a game, not a game, we talkin bout ‘crowd-noise’ ….how silly is that….we talkin bout ‘crowd noise’, we aint talkin about the game…..We talkin about ‘crowd noise’, not the actual game
They're trying to troll us, but what they don't understand is.....we don't care. A less experienced fanbase (like Twin fans) would probably be offended to hear opposing players saying that. But yeah.....we honestly don't care.
We heard the same BS last year against the Phillies and it was amped up even more after they won game three. How did the Stros respond in game four? They no hit them.
awww the brand new homeymoon phase. everything is so new to them. reality checks suck though and they're about to get it
yup 7 years worth. meanwhile folks are all panicking over a twins team going through their first playoff wins after 21 years.
tonight? it's a afternoon 3pm away game where the stros have been killing teams. the road field advantage experience
