I think what I’m trying to say here is that it’s not how they performed yesterday or last week…it’s how they perform in that game….if anyone should understand this its Astros fans who had two HOFers with incredible careers…but who over very short sample sizes didn’t come close to that sort of production in the playoffs.
Bad game. These guys, though, have excellent short term memory loss and will be ready to go tomorrow. It's not like we've swept every series the last 7 years. We've even been down at times. Bad games happen. If any group of players can recover from that, it's these guys.
Lopez was dotting 97 and 98 exactly where he ****in wanted for 7 innings. Sure Framber **** the bed but I think Houston should just tip their cap to Lopez and Correa and get ready to get after Gray while hoping Good Javier shows up. I still call this series 50/50.
Cintron and Snitker didn't notice and couldn't have the batters adapt to be more aggressive on the first pitch? Feels like most fans noticed while it was happening.
Yeah, I feel very confident they'll storm into Minnesota and win the next two games. We're going to hear a lot about momentum and home crowds and... honestly, if I've learned only one thing during this Astros run, it's that none of that matters. This is, I think, the most flawed team during this era: their SP is not deep; their bullpen is not deep; their line-up is not deep. However far they go, I suspect it'll be a slog. But... counting them out is a fool's errand.
Pablo Lopez looked as dominant as Zach Wheeler did in Game 6 of the World Series last year. I was at both games and the vibe was the same - easy gas, serious movement, multiple offspeed options, Astros hitters looked totally uncomfortable, Lopez and wheeler looked like they were in comfortable rocking chairs.
The game should of been dissected by the team, not us. It feels like our batters don't have any advantages like Correa knowing what pitches he was looking for. Too bad we won't see Lopez again, I'm sure we would hit him hard.
If it goes to game 5, the stros will definitely see Him starting back on the mound. Obviously prefer just to win the next two
