I favor that… such nice weather out there and it’s been awhile since MMP fans were rabid during a LDS (or even LCS) series that the closed roof actually impacted the opponents mindset. Was at the game yesterday. Plenty loud during HR’s but there was once a time where the entire stadium was on their feet for every 2 strike count in a playoff game. Now, it’s mainly when there’s 2 outs… and even then, it was really only at full effect in the 8th and 9th innings. Not that it’s a major issue… and it’s only expected that with this much success, the fan base themselves aren’t going to be living/dying with every single pitch.
Astros are playing chess! By opening the roof, the team will feel like they are in a different stadium, hence an away game, and they play much better on the road !
This really pisses me off. I guarantee that if the Yankees, dodgers, red Sox, or cubs has a roof the league wouldn't demand it to be open
How on earth would you know that? For the record I don't care what they do with the roof unless I'm at the game
But, in the event of an asteroid hurling towards Earth, I'd like to know that the Astros players are protected with the roof closed so they can finish their game.
Because I’ve been to nearly every home playoff game since 2004? Honestly, 2004-2005 was something else. LaRussa and the Cardinals were noticeably pissed and hadn’t ever experienced anything like a football game crowd at a baseball stadium. The bee buzzing sound effect also was just the perfect combination of crowd stirring and annoying. 2015 was a welcome return to the rabidness that had gone 10 years in between being unleashed. 2017-2018 were great but a slight regression. 2019 also the same, until game 5 and that was one of the best crowds of the golden era. 2021-2023 have been fairly similar thus far. Again, this is mainly an LDS and early ALCS effect. World Series games (blessed to have this many to compare to) have all been consistently great, even with open roofs (game 6 2021 not withstanding);
If Rangers are gonna go to the ALCS… we better be there. Come On Framber and be good Framber tonight and take us to 2-0
Orioles pitching was always a weak spot, especially with Tim Means out. Rangers will win this in 4 or less it seems.
