    The offense has fully let down the defense today. They kept holding and the offense kept falling on their face quickly

    Nobody is saying they need to put up 4 TDs. But in a winnable game where your defense just came up with a big TO, it's not unreasonable to expect an aggressive playcall to try and take control of the game. 2 soft run plays, and a pass play on 3rd down against a defense that's been owning you on 3rd down all day isn't how you do that.
