twins did win in terms of regular season head-to-head matchup. however, since this is the postseason throw out all the regular seasons numbers. with that said, a lot of people said the same thing with the mariners last year. mariner's pitching down the stretch was good - amazing. took some clutch hitting/moments to get past the mariners. idk if the astros will come up clutch again vs the twins. we'll see.
The Twins took the regular season 4-2 against the Stros. I was at the opening game this season at Target Field and the Twins beat the Stros in extra innings. This Stros team though isn't the same team that faced the Twins earlier. IN that first series there was no Altuve and for both series there no JV. Also Jose Abreu was still in his massive slump. Twins pitching is hot and the Twins are coming in with a lot of confidence. On paper the Stros should still take this but I'm nervous.
Just coming here to post that. Jbanksey's reaction to it is great and he's a Red Sox fan. If YOu want Houston YOU GOT HOUSTON!
Funny how winning makes you forget he was an Astro that was so hated to the Minny fans calling him a class act and loving him etc...
The dude is a winner and I don't fault him for wanting the money that comes along with being a winner. He's a leader and considering how Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez, etc followed him tells you all you need to know about what type of teammate he is. As I said before. I want him to bat 400 without an RBI or run during the series.
Looks like the changing of the guard for the AL. Other than the Astros (who are inevitable), these guys are all young and new.
the two teams that almost signed Correa are not in the postseason (Mets and Giants) twins took the chance and they're in the postseason. funny how things work.
The al central is not like the others. Sadly, we went .500 against them(iirc). We shoulda mopped up against those teams but didn't and had to wait til the last day to clinch.
They changed their minds when he said he loved the Minnesota State Fair and Jucy Lucys. Minnesotans are suckers for when someone from out of the state says they love something about Minnesota.
If he says it that way, then tell him he is implying that the Twins have the problem and he's telling Houston about it...
Minny fans acting like that 5 foot 10 year old on the basketball court that keeps getting lost in the game, but makes one closed-eyed shot with no-one guarding him and suddenly talks trash like he's MJ
I would rather not humor him. I'm just bracing myself for the avalanche of that quote and clips of Tom Hanks in Apollo 13. I expect local news and sportstalk radio to lead off with that if the Twins win a game.
